Type: Contract (Potential for Extension)
Work Setting: 100% Remote
Eligible States: TX, FL, AZ, SC, NC, KY, GA, IN, TN
Schedule: Monday–Friday, generally 8:00 AM–5:00 PM CST
Hours: 40 hours per week
Candidate Location Requirement: Candidates must currently reside in Texas, Florida, Arizona, South Carolina, North Carolina, Kentucky, Georgia, Indiana, or Tennessee to be considered.
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Epic ECSA Server Engineer to support the technical infrastructure of a large healthcare organization's Epic environment.
This position will contribute technical expertise across Epic infrastructure, systems, networks, capacity planning, system performance, configuration management, and application deployment platforms. The engineer will support production and non-production environments while collaborating with technical teams to maintain availability, performance, and stability across the Epic ecosystem.
Current Epic ECSA certification is a hard requirement and must be held at the time of submission.
Key Responsibilities

Install, manage, and configure Epic application deployment platforms supporting production, reporting, disaster recovery, training, and non-production environments.

Install and maintain administrative and monitoring tools supporting Epic system availability and performance.

Apply platform and Epic upgrades and updates to production and non-production web server components.

Assist with configuration and troubleshooting of integrated third-party software and peripherals.

Follow Epic and vendor best practices for hardware and software configuration.

Support system performance, capacity planning, Business Continuity, emerging technologies, and ongoing Epic application maintenance.

Troubleshoot technical issues and support outstanding infrastructure tasks.

Create and maintain technical documentation and current system details within a centralized knowledge base.

Collaborate with technical teams and Epic to provide proactive system support.

Understand customer requirements and their impact on technical solutions.

Manage individual assignments and priorities while working effectively as part of a larger technical team.

Respond to user and system issues and deliver assigned work within established timelines.
Required Qualifications

Current Epic ECSA Certification at the time of submission – hard requirement.

Minimum 2 years of healthcare experience.
-
Experience supporting Epic technical infrastructure and application deployment platforms.

Experience with server, web services, systems, networking, or related infrastructure technologies.

Understanding of system availability, performance monitoring, configuration management, and capacity planning.

Experience troubleshooting technical systems and supporting production environments.

Strong documentation and knowledge-management skills.

Ability to effectively prioritize and manage work within a collaborative technical environment.

Strong communication and customer-service skills.

High school diploma or equivalent.
Candidates who do not currently hold an Epic ECSA certification cannot be considered.

Bachelor's degree preferred.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a currently Epic ECSA-certified infrastructure professional with healthcare experience and a strong background supporting enterprise Epic environments.
This individual should be comfortable working across application deployment platforms, web/server infrastructure, performance and availability monitoring, upgrades, troubleshooting, Business Continuity, and capacity planning while collaborating effectively with Epic and internal technical teams.

Schedule is generally Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM CST, with some flexibility.

Occasional after-hours support may be required during go-live activities.

A company laptop will be provided.

Contractors are responsible for additional equipment needed for their workspace, including monitors.
