Senior Business Analyst (Enterprise Software & Digital Transformation)

This opportunity is ideal for a senior-level BA who can bridge the gap between business stakeholders and Agile development teams while driving large-scale application modernization and digital transformation initiatives. This role is based on a Texas public sector engagement supporting enterprise applications and mission-critical systems.

What You'll Do
- Partner with executive stakeholders, business users, and technical teams to define business objectives and solution strategies.
- Lead discovery sessions, stakeholder interviews, workshops, and requirements gathering activities.
- Analyze current-state business processes and recommend improvements that increase efficiency and automation.
- Translate business needs into:
- Business Requirements Documents (BRDs)
- Functional Requirements
- User Stories
- Use Cases
- Process Flows
- Wireframes and Mockups
- Serve as the liaison between business units and software development teams throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
- Manage requirements from initial discovery through design, development, testing, implementation, and post-production enhancements.
- Support Agile software delivery by refining product backlogs, participating in sprint planning, and validating delivered functionality.
- Create workflow diagrams, business process documentation, and functional specifications that enable successful solution delivery.
- Collaborate with UX, developers, QA, and project leadership to ensure solutions meet business objectives.
- Drive continuous process improvement and promote business analysis best practices across project teams.
- Mentor junior analysts and contribute to organizational BA standards and methodologies.
We're seeking a seasoned Business Analyst who has successfully supported enterprise software initiatives and can confidently work with both business leaders and technical teams.
Required Experience
- 8+ years of Business Analysis experience supporting enterprise software projects
- 8+ years gathering and documenting business and functional requirements
- 8+ years working across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- 8+ years improving business processes and documenting workflow improvements
- 8+ years creating user stories, use cases, and functional specifications
- 8+ years designing wireframes, mockups, or other solution artifacts
- Experience facilitating stakeholder interviews, workshops, and requirements sessions
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent documentation and organizational abilities
- Experience using Agile methodologies and collaborating with software development teams
- Atlassian Jira
