Business Analyst – Financial Consolidation & Reporting
Type: Contract
Work Setting: Remote
Our client is seeking a Business Analyst with expertise in financial consolidation and SAP BPC Planning & Consolidation to support enterprise reporting, financial close activities, and strategic reporting initiatives. This role will work closely with Accounting, Finance, and IT teams to improve reporting processes, support business-critical systems, and assist with a major reporting transformation initiative.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with Accounting, Finance, and IT stakeholders to support reporting and consolidation processes
- Troubleshoot and resolve system, data, and reporting issues
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial close cycles
- Develop and enhance financial reports and reporting structures
- Gather and document business requirements
- Translate business needs into functional specifications
- Participate in testing, validation, and reconciliation activities
- Support financial data governance, controls, and audit requirements
- Assist with financial systems transformation and reporting modernization initiatives
- Analyze opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related discipline
- 6+ years of relevant Business Analyst experience
- Hands-on experience supporting SAP BPC Planning & Consolidation
- Strong understanding of financial consolidation and reporting processes
- Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, and financial close activities
- Experience gathering requirements and supporting system enhancements
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Qualifications
- SAP S/4HANA experience
- SAP Group Reporting experience
- SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)
- OneStream
- Hyperion
- Accounting, Financial Reporting, or Controllership experience
