Key Responsibilities Business Analysis & Requirements Gathering
- Conduct requirements gathering sessions with business stakeholders and subject matter experts
- Analyze current operational procedures and identify opportunities for process improvements
- Create and maintain:
- Use Cases
- Process Flows
- Wireframes
- Acceptance Criteria
- Functional Specifications
- Business Requirements Documentation
- Evaluate business objectives and recommend alternative solutions
- Analyze and document:
- User requirements
- System functionality
- Input/output requirements
- Reporting requirements
- Workflow processes
- Perform cost-benefit analysis of proposed solutions and system enhancements
- Assist in the development of project documentation and online help materials
- Ensure solutions align with organizational standards and best practices
- Develop test scripts, test data, and execution plans
- Perform functional, integration, and user acceptance testing
- Analyze test results and assist with defect resolution
- Support quality assurance efforts throughout the software development lifecycle
- Serve as a liaison between technical teams and business users
- Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders
- Facilitate information sharing and knowledge transfer activities
- Participate in project meetings and provide progress updates
- Deliver presentations and technical information to both internal and external stakeholders
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience with Medicaid Claims Processing
- 5+ years of experience analyzing business objectives and identifying alternative solutions
- 5+ years of experience reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating user requirements and operational procedures
- 5+ years of experience documenting user needs, system functionality, and business processes
- 5+ years of experience performing cost-benefit analysis of systems and solution alternatives
- 5+ years of experience documenting input/output requirements and reporting structures
- 5+ years of experience with Azure DevOps and wireframe creation
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across technical and business teams
- Experience working within Agile or Scrum delivery environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Texas DIR Project Delivery Framework
- Familiarity with enterprise information architecture and information management methodologies
- Knowledge of enterprise software architecture and infrastructure concepts
- Understanding of emerging technologies and industry trends
- Experience supporting government healthcare or Medicaid systems
Work Environment
- 100% Onsite in Austin, TX
- Local Texas candidates only
- Candidates must already reside in Texas
- No relocation candidates will be considered
- Standard business hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Occasional after-hours or weekend support may be required
