QA Engineer III (Automation)

Austin, TX (Hybrid) | Contract

CornerStone Technology Talent Services is seeking an experienced QA Engineer III (Automation) to join a high-impact technology team supporting critical enterprise applications. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated testing solutions with a strong focus on database validation, application quality, and test automation strategy.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience creating automated test frameworks, developing test plans and execution strategies, performing functional and regression testing, and collaborating with development teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated testing solutions and test scripts

• Create and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and testing strategies

• Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing

• Identify, document, track, and validate software defects and resolutions

• Collaborate with software developers, database administrators, and business stakeholders throughout the testing lifecycle

• Validate data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across enterprise applications and databases

• Develop and maintain testing documentation and execution reports

• Support release validation and quality assurance efforts across multiple projects

• Participate in requirements reviews and provide input on testability and quality considerations

• Recommend improvements to testing processes, automation frameworks, and quality standards

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Quality Assurance and Automated Testing

• 8+ years of experience developing and executing automated test scripts and frameworks

• 8+ years of experience creating test plans, test cases, and test execution strategies

• 8+ years of experience performing functional, regression, and application testing

• Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies

• Experience analyzing business and technical requirements and translating them into testing strategies

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Proven ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with enterprise-scale application testing environments

• Experience testing database-driven applications

• Familiarity with enterprise architecture and information management concepts

• Experience supporting large-scale software implementation or modernization initiatives
