Overview

This role will partner closely with technical leadership, data engineering teams, business stakeholders, and AI program teams to drive project coordination, execution, governance, and delivery across complex enterprise initiatives.
The ideal candidate has strong experience leading large-scale data, analytics, cloud, and digital transformation projects while effectively managing cross-functional teams in highly matrixed environments.

Key Responsibilities Project & Program Leadership
- Lead technical projects and enterprise initiatives across:
- Data engineering
- Analytics platforms
- Cloud environments
- AI adoption programs
- Define project scope, objectives, milestones, timelines, and success metrics
- Drive project planning, execution, status reporting, and delivery activities
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Partner with:
- Data engineers
- Architects
- Developers
- Analysts
- Business stakeholders
- AI and cloud teams
- Facilitate communication and alignment across technical and business organizations
- Manage project dependencies, risks, escalations, and mitigation strategies
Data & Cloud Initiatives
- Support data architecture, data modeling, and data warehousing initiatives
- Coordinate activities related to business intelligence, analytics, and enterprise data systems
- Collaborate with cloud and enterprise application teams to ensure successful delivery
Governance & Documentation
- Maintain project documentation including:
- Project plans
- Charters
- Schedules
- Status reports
- Lessons learned
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and resource planning activities
- Ensure alignment with governance, compliance, and operational standards
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience leading technical projects in:
- Data
- Analytics
- Cloud environments
- Enterprise applications
- Experience managing data architecture, data warehousing, or business intelligence initiatives
- Strong understanding of SQL and database technologies
- Proven leadership experience managing cross-functional teams and enterprise timelines
- Experience with project management tools such as:
- Jira
- Azure DevOps
- MS Project
- Smartsheet
- Excellent communication and executive presentation skills
- PMP certification required
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting healthcare data initiatives
- Familiarity with:
- FHIR
- HL7
- CCDA
- Experience supporting AI, advanced analytics, or digital transformation initiatives
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP
- SAFe, PMI-ACP, TOGAF, or cloud certifications preferred
Work Environment
- Hybrid schedule: 2 days onsite / 3 days remote
- Candidates must currently reside in Texas and be local to the Austin area
- Standard business hours with occasional after-hours support as needed
