Cloud Engineer (Managed Services)
Location: Addison, TX ( Hybrid 1-2 days on-site a week)
Position Type: Contract-to-Hire

Overview
We are seeking a Cloud Engineer (Managed Services) to support and optimize cloud environments across multiple public cloud platforms. This role focuses on day-to-day cloud operations, incident management, and service delivery while helping improve efficiency through automation and best practices.

You’ll work across environments in Azure, AWS, GCP, and OCI, supporting multiple customers in a fast-paced, production-driven setting.

Key Responsibilities Cloud Operations & Support
  • Monitor, support, and maintain cloud infrastructure and platform services
  • Ensure system performance, availability, and reliability across environments

Incident & Request Management
  • Respond to incidents, alerts, and service requests
  • Perform triage, troubleshooting, and resolution
  • Follow through to full service restoration

Operational Tasks & Change Execution
  • Execute standard changes and recurring operational tasks
  • Handle provisioning, access updates, maintenance, patching, and backups
  • Maintain overall platform health and hygiene

Cloud Administration
  • Manage resources across compute, storage, networking, identity, and security
  • Support governance and compliance requirements across cloud platforms

Customer Engagement & Collaboration
  • Participate in customer meetings, status calls, and service reviews
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, and service delivery teams

Monitoring, Compliance & Optimization
  • Support monitoring, alerting, tagging, and policy management
  • Assist with cost visibility and compliance initiatives

Automation & Tooling
  • Use scripting and automation tools to improve efficiency and consistency
  • Gain exposure to DevOps and SRE practices

On-Call Support
  • Participate in on-call rotation and support after-hours incidents or maintenance

Required Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, cloud operations, or managed services
  • Hands-on experience supporting cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP, or OCI)
  • Experience working in live production environments (incident, request, and change management)
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Windows and/or Linux server administration
    • Networking fundamentals (DNS, firewalls, etc.)
    • Identity and access management (RBAC, least privilege)
  • Experience with monitoring tools and ITSM processes

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in managed services or multi-customer environments
  • Familiarity with automation and scripting (PowerShell, Python, Bash)
  • Exposure to DevOps / SRE concepts (CI/CD, IaC, observability)
  • Relevant cloud or infrastructure certifications
