CornerStone Technology Talent Services (TTS) is partnering with top enterprise environments to identify a Data-Driven Technical Business Analyst who thrives in highly analytical, reporting-heavy ecosystems. This is a hands-on role built for professionals who don’t just gather requirements—but take ownership of data, reporting accuracy, and business impact.

This opportunity is ideal for someone who operates at the intersection of data, reporting, and business strategy—a true hybrid who can move seamlessly between stakeholders and complex datasets while driving measurable improvements in performance and decision-making.
What You’ll Be Doing
  • Own the full lifecycle of reporting and analytics delivery—from intake to validation to optimization
  • Translate business needs into technical reporting logic (metrics, filters, calculations, and data structures)
  • Build, maintain, and enhance recurring and ad hoc reports across multiple data sources
  • Analyze trends, identify variances, and uncover actionable insights that influence operations
  • Investigate and resolve data quality and reporting discrepancies through root cause analysis
  • Drive process improvement and automation, reducing manual reporting efforts
  • Act as a consultative partner to the business, not just a report builder
What Sets This Role Apart
This is not a passive reporting role. You’ll be embedded in a data-rich environment where:
  • Reporting is mission-critical to business performance
  • Data comes from multiple, complex, and sometimes legacy systems
  • There’s a strong need for someone who can challenge, refine, and improve how data is used
What You Bring to the Table
  • Deep experience with Cognos reporting environments (or similar legacy-heavy ecosystems)
  • Strong SQL skills—comfortable writing complex queries, joins, and aggregations
  • Proven ability to own reporting outputs and ensure data accuracy end-to-end
  • Experience working with large, multi-source datasets
  • Strong foundation in data validation, integrity, and troubleshooting
  • Ability to connect technical outputs to real business outcomes
  • Confident communicator who can engage with both technical teams and business leadership
Nice to Have
  • Exposure to SAS, Power BI, or Tableau
  • Experience in financial services, lending, or performance-driven environments
  • Background in statistical analysis, forecasting, or hypothesis-driven problem solving
  • Experience improving or modernizing manual or legacy reporting processes
Who You Are
  • You don’t just run reports—you question them
  • You’re naturally curious and dig into “why the data looks the way it does”
  • You’re comfortable in environments where data isn’t perfect—and you fix it
  • You think like a consultant, not just an analyst
