Desktop Support Technician I
Type: Contract
Location: Fort Worth, TX 76102
Work Setting: Onsite
Note: This position requires local travel between sites (mileage reimbursement provided)
Overview:
We are seeking a Desktop Support Technician I to support a high-volume deployment and end-user support environment. This position focuses heavily on imaging and device deployment, while also providing hands-on technical support for desktops, laptops, and end users across a Windows-based environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform imaging, configuration, and deployment of desktops and laptops
- Provide technical support for hardware and software issues
- Troubleshoot Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office (2016, 2019, O365)
- Support end users with desktop applications and system access issues
- Document and manage tickets through a ticketing system
- Assist with hardware break/fix, upgrades, and replacements (IMAC activities)
- Support Active Directory tasks and enterprise tools (e.g., SCCM)
- Troubleshoot basic network connectivity issues (TCP/IP, DNS)
Required Qualifications:
- Experience using a ticketing system to track and resolve issues
- Working knowledge of Windows OS installation, support, and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with Active Directory, SCCM, and enterprise support tools
- Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as part of equipment setup and deployment
- Must be able to pass a CJIS background check (fingerprinting required)
- Reliable transportation required for local travel between work sites
Required Experience:
- 2+ years of experience with desktop/laptop imaging and deployment
- 2+ years supporting Windows operating systems
- 2+ years supporting Microsoft Office (2016, 2019, O365)
- 2+ years providing software/application support
- 2+ years handling hardware break/fix for desktops, laptops, or mobile devices
