MDM Engineer

Position Overview
We’re seeking an experienced MDM Engineer to help design, build, and enhance Master Data Management (MDM) solutions that produce trusted, high-quality golden records for downstream operational, analytical, and regulatory systems.
This is a hands-on engineering position focused on solution design, entity modeling, match/merge logic, survivorship rules, integrations, and change delivery. This is not a data stewardship or operations-only opportunity.
What You’ll Do
MDM Solution Design & Modeling

Design and maintain MDM solutions aligned to business domains and enterprise data standards

Build entity and attribute models that support current and future business needs

Create hierarchies and relationships across master data entities
-
Develop golden record strategies based on trust, survivorship, and business rules
Match, Merge & Survivorship
-
Design and implement match and merge rules for entity resolution
-
Define survivorship logic to determine authoritative attribute values
-
Tune match logic and survivorship rules to improve accuracy and performance
-
Partner with stakeholders to refine matching outcomes and improve data quality
Publishing & Downstream Delivery
-
Implement publishing patterns to distribute mastered data to downstream systems

Support batch, API-based, and event/pipeline-driven consumption models
-
Ensure published data meets schema, latency, and quality expectations
Integrations & Data Engineering
-
Build and maintain integrations between MDM, source systems, and downstream platforms
-
Develop and support APIs and data pipelines for ingestion and distribution
-
Implement transformations and validations to ensure data consistency and integrity

Optimize integration patterns for reliability, scalability, and performance
Performance & Optimization

Tune performance across matching, merging, and publishing processes
-
Identify and resolve bottlenecks across processing and integrations
-
Support scalability as data volumes and consumers grow
Change Delivery & Lifecycle Support

Deliver MDM enhancements aligned to the product roadmap

Support onboarding of new data domains and entities
-
Troubleshoot and resolve complex defects related to modeling, logic, or integrations

Assist with migrations, refactoring, and model evolution
-
Participate in design reviews, testing, and deployment activities
Collaboration & Governance Alignment

Partner with Product Owners to translate business requirements into technical solutions

Work with platform administrators to ensure smooth deployment and readiness

Collaborate with Data Quality teams to align MDM logic with quality rules and monitoring

Support business data owners and stewards during onboarding and validation
Required Qualifications
-
5+ years of experience in data engineering, MDM, or enterprise data solutions
-
Hands-on experience designing and implementing MDM solutions

Strong understanding of:

Strong SQL skills and experience with data transformation techniques

Experience working with modern data platforms and integration pipelines
Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Profisee MDM or similar MDM platforms

Experience integrating MDM with cloud data platforms and enterprise applications
-
Familiarity with data governance, data quality, and stewardship concepts
-
Experience supporting enterprise-scale and/or regulated environments
