Senior Technical Trainer – PeopleSoft FSCM
Type: Long-term Contract
Location: Austin, TX 78751
Work Setting: Remote (TX)
We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Trainer to support training development and delivery for the PeopleSoft Financials (FSCM 9.2) ERP system.
This position is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering comprehensive, accessibility-compliant training programs tailored to financial business areas. The ideal candidate brings deep ERP training experience, strong instructional design capabilities, and the ability to thrive in a large, collaborative Agile environment.
Position Overview
The Senior Technical Trainer will:

Design and implement comprehensive ERP training programs

Develop role-based, accessibility-compliant training materials from the ground up
-
Deliver instructor-led, web-based, and asynchronous e-learning courses
-
Participate in system design discussions and testing activities to ensure training accuracy and relevance
-
Create clear, user-friendly documentation for technical and non-technical audiences
-
Collaborate within a large remote team using Agile, incremental, and iterative delivery methods
Key Responsibilities
Training Design & Curriculum Development

Develop structured training programs for PeopleSoft FSCM 9.2

Create instructor materials including:
-
Course outlines
-
Background materials
-
Instructional guides
-
Training aids and exercises
-

Break down complex financial and ERP concepts into structured learning modules
-
Design classroom, web-based, multimedia, simulator-based, and computer-based learning content
-
Ensure content meets accessibility standards (EIR compliance and assistive technologies)
Training Delivery
-
Facilitate instructor-led and virtual training sessions for end users and trainers
-
Deliver both onsite and remote training sessions
-
Maintain professionalism and engagement in classroom and virtual environments

Develop alternative teaching techniques to enhance learner motivation and retention
Documentation & Content Management

Produce clear technical guides and user documentation
-
Gather, analyze, and translate technical information into readable training materials
-
Manage and maintain the training SharePoint site
-
Assist with formatting and maintaining materials developed by other team members
-
Conduct test analysis and develop or revise test items when acting as testing officer
Collaboration & Program Management
-
Work within a team of training specialists to revise and maintain curriculum
-
Analyze business processes, policies, and audience needs
-
Support staff productivity reporting

Research and recommend training vendors and materials

Ensure alignment with business needs, regulatory requirements, and Quality Management Systems

Utilize MS Teams and channel communication within a large team environment
-
Use Jira as needed for tracking and Agile collaboration
Minimum Requirements
Years | Required/Preferred | Experience
8 | Required | Developing a training program for ERP systems
8 | Required | Developing accessibility-compliant training content
8 | Required | (at least 4) Hands-on experience working with eLearning software
8 | Required | (at least 4) Hands-on experience with PeopleSoft FSCM 9.2 ERP system
8 | Required | (at least 4) Experience with Microsoft O365 applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
8 | Required | (at least 2) Experience with MS Teams and Channel communication with a large team
8 | Required | (at least 2) Experience in maintaining and updating SharePoint sites
2 | Preferred | Experience working with a public sector organization (Federal, State, or Local Government)
1 | Preferred | Experience with Jira
