IT Compliance Manager
Type: 4-Month Contract (Potential for Extension)

Work Setting: Remote (Must Reside in TX, AZ, KY, TN, GA, SC, NC, or FL Required)

As an IT Compliance Manager, you'll work cross-functionally to strengthen internal controls, improve governance frameworks, and ensure regulatory compliance across a dynamic, cloud-based environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with IT, Security, Internal Audit, and business process owners to identify control gaps and drive timely remediation.
  • Develop and refine IT policies, procedures, and control frameworks aligned with COSO, COBIT, and PCAOB standards.
  • Maintain IT control documentation including risk and control matrices (RCMs), process/data flows, and control narratives.
  • Support IT projects and system implementations to ensure SOX controls are embedded from the start.
  • Assist management with the design, testing, and evaluation of key IT controls.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency in control design, testing strategy, and compliance documentation.

Qualifications
  • Strong understanding of SOX 404, COSO, COBIT, and PCAOB requirements.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure environments, ERP systems, and big-data platforms.
  • In-depth knowledge of IT infrastructure, application management, portfolio management, and secure SDLC practices.
  • 8+ years of experience in IT Audit, IT SOX, Risk Management, or Public Accounting (Big 4 experience preferred).
  • Experience with GRC tools such as Archer or AuditBoard.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex IT concepts into clear business language.
  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CIA, or related credentials are a plus.
