CornerStone TTS is actively searching for a Senior Business Analyst to support the Mainframe Transformation Program at the Railroad Commission of Texas (RRC). This is an exciting, high-impact opportunity to work on complex, enterprise-level technology modernization efforts.
About the Role:
The selected candidate will perform advanced business analysis work in support of major hardware/software implementation projects. Responsibilities will include gathering and documenting business and technical requirements, reviewing and improving business processes, supporting UAT, and guiding teams through complex systems changes including SaaS, COTS, data migrations, and data warehouse builds.
This position offers a high degree of autonomy and the chance to influence key technology modernization initiatives for a state agency.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform hands-on business analysis for enterprise software development initiatives.

Conduct requirements gathering through interviews, document analysis, workshops, surveys, and workflow analysis.

Create functional specifications, use cases, wireframes, process flows, and data models.

Serve as liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams.

Lead/facilitate UAT, training, and go-live activities.

Ensure documentation quality, accuracy, and traceability across project lifecycle.

Assess and document production support issues, identify root causes, and support resolution.

Work independently and collaboratively across multiple teams and stakeholders.
Required Skills & Experience:

10+ years of business analysis experience on software development projects.

Expertise in requirements elicitation, technical documentation, and process design.

Proficiency in MS Office, Visio, and prototyping tools (SnagIt, Adobe Illustrator, Axure).

Strong knowledge of UAT planning/execution, data modeling, and traceability matrices.

Extensive experience in root cause analysis and production issue assessment.

Deep understanding of SDLC and quality assurance methodologies.

Hands-on experience with JIRA, including story creation and reporting.

Familiarity with Oracle/SQL, including writing and executing queries.

Testing experience in Smoke, Regression, Black box/White box, manual & automation testing.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in Agile environments.

Exposure to Salesforce projects.

Experience developing automated test scripts (Java, Selenium or similar).

Familiarity with Oil & Gas, compliance, or enforcement business domains.

Proven track record in process improvement and change leadership.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
