IT Risk and Compliance Analyst
Type: Long-term Contract

Work Setting: Remote (TX, FL, AZ, SC, NC, KY, GA, IN, TN)

Seeking an IT Risk and Compliance Analyst to support the development and maturation of an internal AI Governance program and the adoption of emerging AI technologies. This position partners closely with cross-functional teams to ensure responsible AI practices, regulatory alignment, and risk mitigation across AI-related initiatives.
Key Responsibilities AI Use Case Review & Documentation
  • Support intake, review, and approval workflows for AI use cases.
  • Maintain documentation such as AI registries, model cards, and review records.
  • Coordinate review cycles with internal governance committees.
Stakeholder Coordination
  • Collaborate with business and technical teams to gather details on model design, training data, performance metrics, and required disclosures.
  • Establish feedback loops to track progress on AI governance initiatives, metrics, and policy updates.
Program Implementation
  • Assist with building and maturing AI governance processes, workflows, and frameworks.
  • Support the development of incident response, risk assessment, and compliance workflows for AI systems.
  • Help create dashboards and reporting for leadership visibility.
Security & Risk Assessment
  • Partner with security and risk teams to apply frameworks such as OWASP for LLMs.
  • Support red-teaming efforts and document assessment results.
  • Contribute to risk mitigation and control recommendations.
Training & AI Literacy
  • Assist with creating role-specific training materials and awareness resources for AI use and governance.
Regulatory Monitoring
  • Help track evolving AI, data privacy, and security regulations.
  • Assist in mapping requirements to internal controls and processes.
Qualifications
  • Experience in AI governance, data privacy, risk management, or compliance.
  • Strong documentation and project coordination or project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, risk-informed environment.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical teams.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML technologies and their ethical, legal, or operational considerations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced degree or experience in law, computer science, information systems, or a related field.
  • Certifications such as CIPP/US, CISM, CIPM, or AI governance-adjacent credentials.
  • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as NIST AI RMF, ISO 42001, EU AI Act, or U.S. AI, privacy, and security laws.
  • Experience with red teaming, security risk assessments, or model lifecycle management.
