Location: Dallas, TX (Onsite/Hybrid)
Overview
We are seeking a Lead Software Developer to join a lean, fast-moving development team in Dallas. This is a hands-on coding role with leadership responsibilities, ideal for a developer who thrives in a small team but can also mentor others and drive quality across the organization.
You ll work alongside Hamzah (current lead) to review code, translate business needs into technical requirements, and provide structure for a team that includes one junior developer onsite and two offshore developers. The team s biggest challenge today is offshore resources only completing assigned tasks this role is critical in motivating, mentoring, and driving initiative across the team.

Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and enhance applications using ASP.NET Core.
- Lead front-end development using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and JQuery, while introducing and leveraging modern frameworks (React preferred).
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications, mock-ups, and user stories.
- Conduct code reviews in partnership with Hamzah, ensuring best practices and clean, scalable code.
- Provide mentorship to a junior developer onsite and technical leadership to offshore developers, encouraging ownership and initiative.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business needs.
Required Qualifications
- Strong, hands-on experience with ASP.NET Core (must-have).
- Front-end experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery.
- Familiarity with modern frameworks such as React (preferred), Angular, or Vue.
- Experience creating mock-ups, user stories, and technical documentation.
- Previous experience mentoring junior developers and guiding offshore teams.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical detail into business language.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Background with SQL Server, Entity Framework, or similar database technologies.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools like Jira or Azure DevOps.
- Prior experience modernizing legacy codebases.
- AI experience with Copilot, Cursor, etc.
