Software Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst



We re seeking a Software Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst to join a dynamic IT team and play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of critical software systems. This position involves supporting multiple IT projects in a fast-paced environment, including system integrations and software implementations. The ideal candidate will bring a detail-oriented mindset and collaborate effectively with developers, analysts, engineers, and project managers to drive high-quality deliverables.

Key Responsibilities
  • Actively participate in project lifecycles, offering guidance on QA best practices and methodologies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan, develop, and execute robust testing strategies
  • Analyze business and system requirements to develop clear test scenarios and traceability matrices
  • Create and maintain comprehensive test cases addressing both functional and non-functional aspects of software
  • Conduct manual and automated testing to detect defects and areas for improvement
  • Document and communicate test results, clearly reporting issues to the development team
  • Track, log, and follow up on defects using test management tools
  • Partner with development teams to investigate and resolve reported issues
  • Execute regression tests to ensure stability after feature updates
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and tools
  • Apply strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills to resolve testing challenges
  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Adapt to various organizational environments and collaborate well with team members
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in software QA or a related role
  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent work experience)
  • Familiarity with QA terminology, processes, and industry-standard tools
  • Understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Experience with healthcare systems or terminology (EMR, EHR, HL7, FHIR, PACS, etc.) is a strong plus
  • Exposure to bug tracking and test management platforms (e.G., HP ALM, JIRA)
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach
  • Goal-driven and proactive in identifying and resolving issues
