Position Summary
We're hiring a Jr. Network & Systems Engineer to join a mission-critical infrastructure team supporting a large-scale, multi-site organization. This role will assist in delivering and maintaining reliable network and systems infrastructure on-prem and cloud-based that enable 24x7 operations across the U.S. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career infrastructure professional ready to deepen their technical skills while contributing to projects involving server and network implementations, security systems, and virtualization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deploy and manage LAN, WLAN, and WAN environments, including routing and VLAN configuration.
  • Set up and maintain physical and virtual servers, storage, and firewalls.
  • Support hybrid infrastructure including Microsoft 365 and AWS EC2 environments.
  • Perform system monitoring, issue resolution, documentation, and preventative maintenance.
  • Participate in setup of site-to-site and client VPNs and firewall configurations (SonicWall).
  • Respond to escalations from Tier I/II support and assist with troubleshooting and break-fix tasks.
  • Assist with facility physical security (e.G., CCTV, access control, equipment checks).
  • Provide setup and support for end-user laptops, desktops, and telephony systems.
  • Document technical environments including configurations, policies, and processes.
  • Coordinate with vendors for hardware/software procurement, warranty work, and replacements.
  • Participate in disaster recovery planning and infrastructure automation efforts.
Qualifications
  • 5 6 years of hands-on experience in IT systems and security administration.
  • Familiarity with:
    • Windows Server (2016 2022) and Windows OS
    • Microsoft 365 suite (Outlook, SharePoint, Teams, Word, Excel)
    • VMware, SANs, SRA, and AWS (EC2 preferred)
    • SonicWall firewalls and SMA systems
    • VPN technologies and VLAN routing
  • Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills.
  • Highly organized, resourceful, and able to communicate effectively across teams.
  • Comfortable in a physically active IT role, including occasional lifting of networking equipment.
Education & Certifications
  • Associate s degree in a technology-related field or equivalent experience (3 4 years).
  • One or more of the following certifications strongly preferred:
    • Microsoft Certification
    • A+
    • Network+
    • Security+
Other Requirements
  • Must be able to pass a 10-year background check and drug screen.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs;work occasionally in data center and physical environments.
  • Positive attitude and a customer-service mindset.
