The Opportunity
We are seeking a seasoned Test Environment Lead to oversee the stability, scalability, and performance of testing environments across a large-scale enterprise transformation initiative. This leader will play a key role in shaping centralized quality and environment management practices across hundreds of applications in a high-complexity IT ecosystem.
This is an opportunity to lead an integrated test environment function, directly supporting quality assurance outcomes and engineering velocity in a DevOps-driven setting.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the stability, availability, and fitness of test environments used by QA and engineering teams
- Lead cross-functional coordination with domain owners, application teams, and infrastructure to deliver and maintain environment readiness
- Identify and resolve environment-related issues that could impact testing timelines, quality metrics, or release schedules
- Manage test data effectively across environments and ensure alignment with security and compliance expectations
- Drive environment optimization initiatives using automation, scripting, and configuration management best practices
- Serve as the strategic lead for environment-related planning and execution, coordinating across multiple concurrent initiatives
- Collaborate with the Domain Quality and Test Data Management leads to define integration timelines, validate test environments, and deliver seamless testing operations
- 10+ years of progressive experience in IT leadership roles, particularly in QA, test environment management, or DevOps
- Strong understanding of hardware, software, networking, and data architecture relevant to testing environments
- Advanced hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure and cloud-native environment management practices
- Proven leadership in fast-paced environments with experience managing distributed teams and technical stakeholders
- Deep knowledge of Agile and DevOps principles, with the ability to align test environment operations to modern software development life cycles
- Exceptional problem-solving and root cause analysis skills;capable of navigating ambiguity and resolving critical environment failures under pressure
- Familiarity with automation frameworks, environment orchestration tools, and infrastructure-as-code practices
- Experience in enterprise-scale environments, particularly within financial services, automotive, or regulated industries
- Scrum Master, PMP, or other project leadership certifications
- Master s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline
