The Senior Wealth Planner role is responsible for assisting members of the wealth planning team with developing customized financial plans for high-net-worth individuals. Comerica Bank uses eMoney and the MS Office suite as its primary planning tools.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Provide financial and wealth transfer strategies and solutions through the creation of sophisticated wealth plans for high-net-worth individuals.
  • Coordinate with Wealth Planners to prepare deliverables for clients that include detailed analysis, observations and recommendations.
  • Review client deliverables prepared by other wealth planning team members.
  • Possess a knowledge and understanding of estate and financial planning strategies, including wealth transfer techniques, life insurance, and investment products.
  • Knowledge of individual and pass-through entities and taxation.
  • Review client data, including tax returns, investment statements, insurance policies, estate planning documents and others.
  • Prepare summaries of documents and illustrations of planning techniques, with the assistance of Wealth Planners.
  • Remain current with respect to the ever-changing income and estate tax laws.
  • Provide technical assistance and support to members of the wealth planning team.
  • Assist with the development and creation of new and innovative wealth planning strategies.
Position Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in accounting, business, finance, economics or related disciplines.
  • 5 years of experience in a national, regional or local public accounting firm, law firm, or financial services company performing financial planning, tax, legal or related services.
  • Experience utilizing financial planning software and spreadsheet analysis.
    CPA, CFP or JD desired.
