Position Description:
We are seeking an experienced OIPA Configurator to support the delivery, enhancement, and maintenance of Oracle Insurance Policy Administration (OIPA) solutions for annuity and life insurance products. This role is responsible for translating business requirements into OIPA configurations, supporting product implementations, and ensuring high quality policy administration solutions within a complex enterprise environment.
As a member of the OIPA team, you will work closely with business analysts, product owners, developers, testers, and business stakeholders to configure and implement policy administration functionality, troubleshoot issues, and support ongoing modernization initiatives. This role is ideal for professionals who enjoy solving complex business problems through configuration and system analysis while remaining hands on throughout the project lifecycle.
This position must be performed from Dallas, TX.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
OIPA Configuration & Business Rule Implementation
. Analyze business requirements and translate them into OIPA configuration solutions.
. Configure and maintain OIPA rules, calculations, validations, transactions, and AsFile components.
. Develop and enhance OIPA screens, including Policy, Client, Allocation, Valuation, and Role Segment screens.
. Configure products, plans, funds, rates, and policy administration workflows.
. Support data intake, data extraction, and batch processing activities within OIPA.
. Configure security roles, user access controls, and application permissions.
. Perform configuration testing and support system integration testing (SIT) and user acceptance testing (UAT).
. Troubleshoot and resolve configuration, data, and production support issues.
. Ensure adherence to established OIPA configuration standards and best practices.
System Support & Integration
. Collaborate with technical teams to support integrations between OIPA and external systems.
. Assist in validating inbound and outbound data interfaces.
. Analyze system defects and coordinate resolution efforts across business and technical teams.
. Support release deployments and post production validation activities.
. Participate in data conversion and migration initiatives as needed.
Collaboration & Delivery
. Work closely with business analysts and stakeholders to clarify requirements and define configuration solutions.
. Participate in design sessions, estimation activities, and project planning.
. Support knowledge sharing and documentation efforts across the OIPA team.
. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and configuration best practices.
. Partner with QA teams to ensure quality and completeness of delivered solutions.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
. 5+ years of hands on Oracle Insurance Policy Administration (OIPA) configuration experience.
. Strong experience with:
o OIPA Configuration Language
o Rules, Calculations, and Validations
o AsFile Configuration
o Transactions and Business Processes
o Screen Configuration and UI Components
o Product and Plan Setup
o Data Intake and Data Extraction Processes
o Security Configuration and User Access Management
. Experience supporting annuity and/or life insurance products.
. Strong understanding of policy administration concepts and insurance business processes.
. Experience working with Oracle databases and writing SQL queries for data analysis and troubleshooting.
. Experience supporting SIT, UAT, and production validation activities.
. Familiarity with release management and deployment processes.
. Experience working within Agile delivery teams.
. Knowledge of OIPA integrations and web services is preferred.
. Exposure to Java, REST/SOAP services, or API integrations is a plus.
. Strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills.
. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across business and technical teams.
. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
. Experience with annuity administration platforms.
. Experience with data migration or conversion projects.
. Familiarity with Jira, Git, Jenkins, and related SDLC tools.
. Knowledge of Oracle Insurance products and ecosystem.
. Insurance industry certifications or OIPA related training preferred.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $87,600.00 $172,400.00.
