Position Description:

This role will require someone at our client site in Pittsburgh, PA, Dallas, TX, or Naples, FL.

We are seeking a QA Engineer with strong experience in manual testing of web and mobile applications and working knowledge of test automation frameworks and API testing.

The ideal candidate will be detail oriented, thorough in test case design, and proactive in identifying defects early in the development lifecycle. Exposure to automation tools (Selenium, Appium, Cypress, or Playwright), as well as experience with Postman for API testing, will be a strong advantage.

This role requires close collaboration with developers, business analysts, and DevOps engineers to ensure quality delivery across all stages of development and deployment.

For this role on this particular client engagement, employer sponsorship of immigration related visa and/or green card status as part of the PERM process will not be available.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

. Plan, design, and execute manual test cases for web and mobile applications.
. Perform functional, regression, UI, compatibility, and user acceptance testing.
. Work with developers and product owners to understand business and technical requirements.
. Perform API testing using Postman, including validation of endpoints, parameters, response codes, and data integrity.
. Contribute to test automation using frameworks like Selenium, Appium, Cypress, or Playwright under guidance from automation leads.
. Identify, log, and track bugs using standard defect tracking tools (Jira, Bugzilla, or Azure DevOps).
. Participate in sprint planning, stand ups, and retrospectives as part of the Agile QA team.
. Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot and reproduce reported issues.
. Execute smoke, sanity, and regression tests as part of CI/CD pipelines.
. Document and maintain clear test reports, traceability matrices, and test evidence for delivery audits.
. Continuously learn and adopt new tools or frameworks that improve test efficiency.
. Support UAT and production verification activities when required.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

. 5+ years total experience in QA, with a strong focus on manual testing.
. Hands on experience testing web and mobile applications across browsers and platforms.
. Exposure to automation testing (Selenium, Appium, Cypress, Playwright).
. Experience in API testing using Postman, including environment setup and scripting (Collections, Tests, Assertions).
. Understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile/Scrum processes.
. Experience with test management tools (TestRail, Zephyr, or Xray).
. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integration of test automation.
. Working knowledge of SQL/No SQL DB for backend data verification.
. Exposure to AWS is a plus.
. Basic scripting or coding knowledge (Java, Python, or JavaScript) preferred for automation readiness.
. Excellent analytical and defect investigation skills.
. Strong documentation, communication, and teamwork abilities.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $62,900.00 $139,300.00.
