Position Description:

We are seeking a skilled Power BI Developer to support the migration of enterprise reporting and analytics solutions from Tableau to Microsoft Power BI. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in report conversion, dashboard redesign, semantic modeling, and Power BI development. This role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders, data architects, and analytics teams to ensure a seamless transition while improving reporting performance, usability, and governance.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

. Tableau to Power BI Migration
. Analyze existing Tableau dashboards, data sources, calculations, and visualizations to determine migration requirements.
. Convert Tableau reports and dashboards into Power BI solutions while maintaining business functionality and improving user experience.
. Recreate Tableau calculations, parameters, filters, and level-of-detail (LOD) expressions using DAX and Power BI capabilities.
. Validate migrated reports to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and performance.
. Document migration processes, design decisions, and reporting standards.
. Power BI Development
. Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI reports and dashboards.
. Develop and optimize Power BI semantic models and datasets.
. Create reusable measures, KPIs, hierarchies, and calculations using DAX.
. Build data transformations using Power Query and SQL.
. Implement report performance tuning and optimization techniques.
. Data Modeling & Integration
. Develop dimensional models using star schema and best practices for analytics reporting.
. Work with data engineers and architects to integrate data from various enterprise sources.
. Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance across reporting solutions.
. Security & Governance
. Implement and maintain Row-Level Security (RLS) within Power BI environments.
. Follow enterprise governance standards for workspace management, deployment, and access control.
. Support testing, deployment, and production release activities.
. Stakeholder Collaboration
. Gather business requirements and translate them into effective reporting solutions.
. Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) and provide end-user support.
. Deliver user training and documentation for newly migrated Power BI solutions.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or related field.
. 3–6 years of experience developing business intelligence and analytics solutions.
. 2+ years of hands-on Power BI development experience.
. Experience participating in or leading Tableau-to-Power BI migration initiatives.
. Strong knowledge of Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, and Power Query.
. Proficiency in DAX, SQL, and data modeling concepts.
. Experience with dimensional modeling and star schema design.
. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

. Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Platform, or Azure Synapse Analytics.
. Familiarity with Tableau architecture, metadata, and workbook design.
. Experience implementing Row-Level Security (RLS) and workspace security.
. Knowledge of CI/CD and deployment pipelines for Power BI.
. Microsoft Power BI certifications (PL-300 or equivalent).

. Contribute to enterprise reporting standards and Power BI best practices.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $80,600.00 - $172,400.00.
