Position Description:

Enterprise Data Architecture & Strategy

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:
. Define and maintain the enterprise data architecture vision, roadmap, and standards for Microsoft Fabric and related data platforms.
. Establish architectural patterns for data ingestion, transformation, storage, integration, and consumption.
. Develop reference architectures and best practices for enterprise data platforms.
. Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend innovations that improve data capabilities and business outcomes.
. Collaborate with enterprise architects, solution architects, business stakeholders, and technical teams to align data strategy with organizational goals.
Data Modeling & Information Architecture
. Lead conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling initiatives across enterprise domains.
. Design and govern enterprise data models supporting operational, analytical, and reporting use cases.
. Establish standards for dimensional modeling, data vault, normalized, and lakehouse modeling approaches.
. Ensure consistency and reuse of master, reference, and shared business data.
. Define business data domains, data ownership, and stewardship models.

Data Governance, Security & Compliance
. Establish metadata management, data lineage, cataloging, and stewardship practices.
. Ensure compliance with regulatory, privacy, and security requirements.
. Partner with governance and security teams to enforce data protection and auditability standards.
. Define retention, archival, and disaster recovery strategies for enterprise data assets.
Data Quality & Master Data Management
. Establish enterprise data quality frameworks, monitoring, and remediation processes.
. Define standards for data validation, reconciliation, and observability.
. Support master data management (MDM) and reference data management initiatives.
. Promote trusted data assets through governance and quality controls.
Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement
. Provide architectural leadership across data engineering, analytics, BI, and business teams.
. Lead architecture reviews and governance boards for data initiatives.
. Mentor architects, engineers, and analysts on data architecture best practices and Microsoft Fabric capabilities.
. Communicate architectural decisions, roadmaps, and recommendations to executive and technical stakeholders.
. Drive adoption of enterprise architecture standards and governance processes.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Management, Engineering, or related field.
. 8+ years of experience in data architecture, enterprise data management, or large-scale data platform design.
. Strong expertise in enterprise data architecture, data modeling, and information management.
. Experience designing lakehouse, data warehouse, and hybrid data architectures.
. Proven experience implementing enterprise data governance and security frameworks.
. Advanced SQL and data transformation expertise.
. Strong understanding of cloud-native data platforms and distributed data processing.
. Experience designing scalable data integration and ingestion architectures.

. Knowledge of Data Vault, Kimball, and modern data modeling methodologies.
. Experience implementing Microsoft Purview or other enterprise data governance solutions.
. Familiarity with data mesh, domain-driven design, and modern data platform architectures.
. Knowledge of AI/ML data architecture patterns and Fabric AI capabilities.

. Reduce architectural complexity while increasing platform scalability and performance.
. Support enterprise analytics, AI, and self-service reporting initiatives through trusted data foundations.
. Ensure compliance with organizational security, privacy, and regulatory requirements.
. Drive successful adoption of Microsoft Fabric as the enterprise data platform.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $70,700.00 - $211,600.00.
