CGI is growing rapidly, and we are seeking a highly motivated Project Manager (BlackLine implementations) to join our team.
This role can be performed remotely from anywhere within the United States.

The Project Manager will lead complex finance transformation initiatives, with a strong focus on BlackLine implementations and financial close optimization.
This role is responsible for managing the full project lifecycle — from initiation through successful implementation and project closure — while ensuring alignment between business requirements, finance processes, and technology capabilities.
The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in finance transformation, stakeholder engagement, delivery governance, and enterprise project management. This individual will be accountable for delivering projects on time, within scope and budget, and to the highest quality standards, while coordinating cross-functional teams and maintaining strong client relationships.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
How you'll make an impact
Program & Project Leadership
• Lead complex, multi-stream finance transformation initiatives involving cross-functional and global teams
• Manage the full project lifecycle, including project initiation and planning, execution and delivery, change management, and transition to business-as-usual operations
• Ensure all project phases are executed efficiently and completed according to schedule
• Drive alignment between business objectives, finance operations, and technology solutions.
Resource & Delivery Management
• Partner with global resource managers to secure appropriate subject matter experts (SMEs) and optimize resource allocation
• Develop and manage integrated project plans, including deliverables, milestones, timelines, and dependencies
• Monitor project execution to ensure deliverables meet quality expectations and client requirements
• Coordinate internal teams, external consultants, contractors, vendors, and technology partners.
Stakeholder & Client Engagement
• Build and maintain strong relationships with client stakeholders across multiple organizational levels
• Serve as a trusted advisor to project sponsors by providing strategic guidance, decision support, and proactive communication
• Facilitate steering committees, status meetings, stakeholder workshops, and executive briefings
• Manage client expectations effectively and foster collaboration to support successful delivery and adoption
Governance, Risk & Scope Management
• Identify, assess, and proactively mitigate project risks and issues
• Maintain and communicate project risks, assumptions, dependencies, and constraints, escalating when appropriate
• Manage scope, timelines, and budget to ensure delivery commitments are achieved within agreed parameters
• Administer structured change control processes for all scope, schedule, and cost modifications
• Ensure adherence to project governance standards and best practices
Financial Management
• Manage project financials, including budget tracking, forecasting, resource cost reconciliation, and financial reporting
• Ensure alignment between financial performance and project delivery outcomes
Monitoring & Reporting
• Define and track key project milestones and maintain integrated project schedules
• Continuously monitor project performance and delivery health
• Provide transparent and timely reporting to stakeholders and sponsors, including project status updates, risks and issues, recommendations and corrective actions, and delivery progress and outcomes
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
What you'll bring
Technical Qualifications
• 3+ years of proven experience leading and delivering BlackLine implementations
• Strong understanding of financial close processes, account reconciliations, financial governance and controls, and finance transformation initiatives
• Demonstrated success managing global, matrixed teams and enterprise stakeholders
• Strong executive communication and stakeholder management capabilities
• Experience leading steering committees and governance forums
• Expertise in risk and issue management, financial tracking and forecasting, change management, and project delivery governance
Soft Skills
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage client expectations in a dynamic and evolving technology environment
• Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to motivate, influence, and guide cross-functional teams
• Exceptional relationship management and consulting skills
• Strong vendor management, negotiation, and influencing skills
• Excellent presentation, written, and verbal communication skills across all organizational levels
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities
Other Information:
CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $78,400.00 - $173,500.00.
