What we’re looking for:

  • Final year Undergraduate/Master’s student
  • Majoring in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related area
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills
  • Programming foundation in OOP and knowledge of platforms such as UNIX, Windows, databases, Java, C, C++, C#, .NET and other technologies
  • Knowledge of databases (Oracle, SqlServer, Access etc.), programming (Python, SQL, VBA, ETL frameworks), and reporting tools (Tableau, MicroStrategy, etc.)
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication
  • Being comfortable with change and able to adjust to changing demands and requirements
  • Strong team player and client focused
  • Show a keen interest and passion in Computing and Technology

Program Overview

The Global Technology Analyst Program (TAP) is a global program designed to provide you with an opportunity to work with experienced technology professionals and prepare for a career in the Bank's Technology division. The Program not only provides program management support, but also structured learning events, training, and networking opportunities. The learning curriculum focuses on business, technical and soft skills.

Your responsibilities will vary based on your location, job profile, and team assignment. Your opportunity might include:

  • Provide technical excellence to design, develop, and maintain state-of-the-art technology applications utilizing technologies such as Java/EJB’s, C++, .NET, Python and Web services
  • Helping grow and manage the critical systems and technology platforms needed to maintain the company’s market-leading positions in all its businesses, such as deposits, payment products, consumer lending, and investment banking.
  • Defining business requirements, identify data sources to meet those requirements, and mine data sources to discover business and customer insights
  • Responding, researching, measuring, detecting, and mitigating potential security attacks that attempt to compromise our network

What You’ll Do

Software Engineer in Global Market Technology: Key tasks and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide technical excellence to design, develop, and maintain state-of-the-art technology applications utilizing technologies such as Java/EJB’s, C++, .NET, Python and Web services
  • Gather and translate internal and external client requirements into technical design specifications, business process reengineering
  • Code solutions, unit tests, and ensures the solution can be integrated successfully into the overall application/system with clear, robust, and well-tested interfaces
  • Participates and contributes to the delivery/release (CI/CD) events. e.g. branching timelines, pull requests, issue triage, merge/conflict resolution, release notes

Core Technology Infrastructure [CTI]:

Work within and across various teams within Global Technology to manage bank’s core infrastructure in one of the following teams:

  • Hosting, Application & Database Services: Infrastructure capacity planning, Windows/ Unix/ Cloud Operations, Storage and Database Management
  • Network Services: Internal/ External Network Management, Network Service Assurance
  • Business Operations: Business Management, Financial Management
  • Datacenter Services and Portfolio Management: Datacenter Projects and Operations, Infrastructure Project Management
  • Mainframe Services: Mainframe Engineering and Operations

You will take responsibility for deploying and supporting core infrastructure that underpins the daily operations of the entire bank; from networks, hosting, cloud platforms and mainframe. You will also work with various platform teams and Business Technology Groups to help build out automated processes.

Application Production Services & Engineering [APS&E]:

Our teams partner closely with Core Technology Infrastructure (CTI) to ensure the availability and performance of essential services, including network, cloud and compute platforms, enterprise storage, and databases that support trading systems, payment platforms, mobile banking, and other critical applications used globally by clients and employees. In addition to application support and engineering, APS&E also delivers a wide range of non‑technical and hybrid technology services, including:

  • Market data services and operations
  • Business and portfolio operations
  • Infrastructure and delivery project management
  • Global incident, change, and problem management

International Technology and Global Payments Solutions Technology [ITGPST]:

ITGPST is responsible for delivering strategic and transformational change across Bank of America’s global payments and transaction services infrastructure, supporting all eight lines of business. International Technology also oversees all lines of business operating across the enterprise's international footprint, including Global Markets, Commercial, Corporate and Investment Banking, Card Services and enterprise control functions.
