Job Description:
Senior Operations Consultant responsible for supporting Insurance reviews and monitoring of APAC loans supported by tangible collateral, including Vessels, aircraft and equipment. Serves as subject matter expert for insurance to ensure coverage is sufficient to protect the bank’s collateral interest. Must maintain expertise in insurance industry changes, drive strategic process and technology change to mitigate risk and strengthen collateral protection.
Responsibilities:
- Reviews and Monitors insurance policies to ensure adequacy of coverage
- Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all international collateral insurance monitoring portfolios
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of insurance technology and AI-enabled tools within an operations environment to improve accuracy, efficiency, and risk mitigation.
- Research, structure, and execute complex, multi-site insurance transactions across larger business units.
- Manage and lead enterprise-wide projects and special initiatives, including defining scope, timelines, accountabilities, and success metrics.
- Provide technical leadership, work direction, and training to associates and business partners on complex regulations, processes, and new initiatives.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships across Leasing, and other Lines of Business.
- Develop and implement process improvements, controls, and procedures to ensure adequacy of insurance coverage and compliance with global regulatory requirements.
- Identify, assess, escalate, and resolve operational and risk-related issues impacting collateral protection.
- Utilize data and reporting to drive continuous improvement, simplification, and operational excellence.

Experience & Qualifications
- 5+ years of operations, management, or training/development experience, with 3+ years in Commercial Banking Hazard Insurance
- 3+ years of complex collateral insurance review experience, with concentration in equipment, marine, rail and airline coverages, spanning North America, APAC, and EMEA.
- Thorough understanding of international maritime and air insurance regulations and requirements in addition to other collateral types.
- Proven experience designing and implementing processes and controls to ensure insurance adequacy and mitigate bank risk.
- Strong knowledge of insurance requirements across all international commercial portfolios.
- Hands-on experience with LoanIQ, CreditCenter, ALFA, LMS, EDR, GSL, Insurance Monitoring Toolkit, Genesys, and DealFlo.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop large teams, drive metric performance, and manage through change.
- Track record of successfully leading process, technology, regulatory, and policy transformations in a fast-paced Commercial Insurance Operations department.
