Global Business Services

Global Business Services delivers Technology and Operations capabilities to Lines of Business and Staff Support Functions of Bank of America through a centrally managed, globally integrated delivery model and globally resilient operations.

Global Business Services is recognized for flawless execution, sound risk management, operational resiliency, operational excellence, and innovation.

In India, we are present in five locations and operate as BA Continuum India Private Limited (BACI), a non-banking subsidiary of Bank of America Corporation and the operating company for India operations of Global Business Services.

Process Overview*

Global Banking & Markets division serves mid- to large-sized corporations and institutional clients worldwide. It is comprised of Business Banking, Global Commercial Banking, Global Corporate & Investment Banking, Global Markets and Wholesale Credit. Aligned with these client-facing groups are Global Capital Markets and Global Research. The Shared Technology Platforms is a portfolio under the GBAMT Strategy, Architecture and Core Platforms portfolio. The portfolio is responsible for designing, building and maintaining high performing software systems that are used by the Global Banking and Markets Technology employees globally. These are Technology for Technology tools that cater to varying project management needs including but not limited to forecasting, hiring, resource lifecycle management etc.

Job Description*

Experienced web application specialist with ability to design and build complex web applications. Serve as the technical subject matter expert and mentor junior team members on best practices, design patterns, code reviews and coding standards. Should have strong problem-solving skills and must be able to challenge/contribute ideas in the technical discussions.

Responsibilities*

• Design, develop, and enhance user interfaces for complex Angular-based applications.
• Participate in story refinement and requirement definition.
• Architect and implement scalable application components.
• Develop Proof of Concepts (POCs) to validate ideas and mitigate technical risks.
• Write and execute unit tests; ensure high-quality code delivery.
• Collaborate effectively with distributed teams across geographies.
• Conduct sprint demos and present deliverables to stakeholders.
• Provide technical guidance, resolve complex issues, and coach team members on automation and best practices.

Requirements*

Education*

• B.E./B.Tech, M.E./M.Tech, M.Sc., or MCA in Computer Science or related field.
• Certifications If Any: Angular or React JS certification (Preferred).

Experience Range*

• 04 Years To 08 Years.

Foundational Skills*

• Expertise in Angular, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML, CSS, and modern web development.
• Hands-on experience with Java (Spring Boot), REST API design, and troubleshooting.
• Backend development with Oracle Database (SQL, PL/SQL, data modeling, performance tuning).
• Experience in OpenShift/containerized environments (deployment, configuration, monitoring).
• Understanding of microservices architecture, service communication, and operational support.
• Proficient with CI/CD pipelines, Git/Bitbucket, build tools, and automated deployment.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies (JIRA, story refinement, sprint execution).
• Experience with REST APIs, Angular, jQuery, and unit testing frameworks.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills; self-driven and accountable.

Desired Skills*

• TypeScript for strongly typed Angular applications.
• NgRx for state management.
• Dependency injection
• Hooks and advanced lifecycle management.
• Performance optimization techniques for large-scale Angular applications.
• Responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.
• Familiarity with Microservices architecture and GraphQL.
• Knowledge of Webpack, Babel, and other build tools.
• Preferred: Experience with Kafka or other event-streaming/messaging platforms, including producers, consumers, topics, event-driven integration patterns, and troubleshooting.

• 11.00 AM to 08.00 PM IST (Need to be flexible as per business need).
