Job Description:
This job is responsible for facilitating scrum ceremonies, managing dependencies, providing visibility into delivery plans and progress, promoting agile principles and mindset through coaching, and enabling continuous improvement across multiple scrum teams. Key responsibilities include optimizing the flow of stories and the value delivered for medium to high complexity projects and programs. Job expectations include ensuring the team resolves impediments quickly, following agreed-to processes, and maintaining a good relationship with the product management team and other stakeholders.
Job Summary
Perform project management responsibilities for XVA Tech. The focus of this role will be to help deliver on the regulatory commitments against MRAs/MRIAs/SIAIs. These project require a superior level communication as parties involved are very senior stakeholders of the project. Timely deliveries of this project is of the utmost importance and thus the PM is expected to keep the involved parties on track and accountable to the quality and timeliness of deliveries.
This role will liaise with senior management and LOB so will need someone who can communicate and articulate all accomplishments, risks and issues. Responsibilities also include managing the project timelines, status, including Jira deliverable tracking and reporting .
Responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivery of defined deliverables which usually requires engagement from multiple teams such as a project or smaller program. Communicates the work objectives, coordinates delivery, manages risks, ensures compliance to standards, and provides end-to-end visibility into the health of the deliverables. Ensures execution and delivery meets the client’s expectations in terms of the functionality, quality, timeline and cost. Coordinates and facilitates routines to support delivery – e.g. kick-offs, status reviews, stakeholder meetings, change controls, tollgates, etc. Plans and coordinates delivery and dependencies with across multiple teams. Facilitates dependency management/risk management/impediment removal for the defined deliverables. Promotes/facilitates communication and collaboration across organizations to support the deliverable completion and timeline. Gathers/facilitates status updates for the deliverables to stakeholders and leadership pertaining to delivery, risks/issues, and schedule. Ensures that execution is aligned with deliverable requirements by working with the sponsor/stakeholders. Ensures deliverables comply with Enterprise Change Management standards. Supports resource planning for delivery/execution. Individual Contributor.
Responsibilities:
Facilitates Scrum ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Demos/Reviews, and Sprint Retrospectives
Provides visibility into the Agile team’s delivery plans and progress against plan to stakeholders
Manages risk including dependency management, impediment removal and compliance with Enterprise Change Management and other policy requirements
Applies metrics to assess team delivery, maturity, and performance and identifies and shares improvement opportunities with the team
Partners with product stakeholders to ensure the team has a healthy product and Sprint backlog
Provides coaching and mentoring to the team for them to become high performing by collaborating, focusing on continuous improvement including cross-training, and sharing knowledge on scrum practices and Agile principles
Leads scaled planning for the team including Pre Planning/Preparation and Program Increment Planning Events) and represents the team in Scrum of Scrums/Agile Release Train Syncs
Required Qualifications:
15+ plus years of program or project management experience in a financial institution
Excellent project management skills, including the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines
Some understanding of financial markets experience
Excellent communication and team-working skills
Ability to work under pressure and to organize self and others
Knowledge of MS Office Apps (i.e. Excel, Word, Visio, PowerPoint and Project)
Experience with financials, budgeting, forecasting, resource management, etc.
MUST HAVE: Ideal candidate is highly organized and understands technology, financials and project management.
