Job Description:
This job is responsible for developing and delivering complex requirements to accomplish business goals. Key responsibilities of the job include ensuring that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional and compliance requirements, and solutions are well designed with maintainability/ease of integration and testing built-in from the outset. Job expectations include a strong knowledge of development and testing practices common to the industry and design and architectural patterns.
Position Summary:
The Senior Software Developer will be a critical contributor to the delivery of complex regulatory control frameworks across multiple jurisdictions within the RegView platform. This individual will work on development, and deployment of high-impact technology solutions supporting key regulatory mandates. The 2025 book of work on the RegView platform exceeds $6M, covering multiple concurrent projects with regulatory and business criticality. A permanent, committed senior engineer is essential to ensure delivery continuity, reduce turnover risk, and support long-term platform stability.
Responsibilities:
- Codes solutions and unit test to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements
- Designs, develops, and modifies architecture components, application interfaces, and solution enablers while ensuring principal architecture integrity is maintained
- Mentors other software engineers and coach team on Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI-CD) practices and automating tool stack
- Executes story refinement, definition of requirements, and estimating work necessary to realize a story through the delivery lifecycle
- Performs spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas
- Automates manual release activities
- Designs, develops, and maintains automated test suites (integration, regression, performance)
Lead the design and development of scalable, maintainable software solutions using Python and Angular.
Deliver technical solutions aligned with multiple regulatory mandates (EMIR, UK EMIR, Canada, CFTC, etc.) in a fast-paced environment.
Provide technical direction and architecture guidance across RegView applications and integrations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure delivery aligns with project timelines and stakeholder expectations.
Mentor junior developers and promote best practices in coding, testing, and DevOps.
Participate in production support, issue resolution, and application stability initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
- Strong proficiency in Python (back-end) and Angular (front-end) with 10+ years of hands-on development experience.
- Deep understanding of regulatory reporting frameworks and control requirements across EMIR, UKEMIR, CFTC, and Canadian regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor developers and lead by example in development practices and delivery.
- Skilled in Agile methodologies, sprint planning, and tracking deliverables in complex regulatory environments.
