Job Summary:

This job is responsible for providing moderately complex research, reporting, and analytical support for the delivery of end-to-end support for Global Markets sales, trading and underwriting business for securities, foreign exchange, fixed income, exchange traded derivatives, and over-the-counter derivatives across multiple Lines of Business. Key responsibilities include carrying out duties under general supervision and assisting teammates while following established procedures.

Position will support the Global Markets Shared Operations Governance/Control/Reporting Team. Functions include, but are not limited to, creation and enhancement of metrics reporting, quality and risk control development, management of various strategic projects and initiatives, ongoing quality assurance and quality control routines, risk reduction plan development, and support of the operating model.

Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with line of business contacts to gather commentary and drive break reduction initiatives.
  • Maintains accuracy of client portfolio using internal and external comparison tools
  • Performs research and conducts moderately complex analyses using established techniques, including transactions that require special handling and exception handling
  • Explores methods to enhance processes, further reduce risks, and boost client experience
  • Partners with colleagues on the trade and sales support teams, as well as external agents
  • Creates reports and liaises with internal partners to ensure proper client reporting and assist with regulatory reporting
  • Escalates potential risks and exposures to manager in a timely manner
  • Assists with ad-hoc projects, new processes, or initiatives requiring coordination among subject matter experts representing multiple product areas or functions

Required Skills:

  • Participate in tactical and strategic projects focused on process improvements and risk mitigation.
  • Perform analysis of Governance functions to identify control gaps and process improvement opportunities.
  • Compile and present GMO breaks metrics for senior management• Oversee operational controls and produce analysis of results

Skills:

Manage data sets in order to create new functional Reports or Dashboards of Breaks/Fails/PayRecs data

• Intermediate or Advanced-level experience working with data sets and Data analytics applications (Tableau, Alteryx, Excel, Etc)
• Global Markets experience or familiarity with reconciliation systems / design
• Presentable, confident and objective focused. Ability to conduct discussions with all levels of the organization, including senior management, in a confident manner.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to present to an audience.
• Ability to work under pressure in a team environment.
• Demonstrated experience liaising with and influencing all levels of the firm and people with different experiences and backgrounds.
• Self-motivated and able to work unsupervised. Successful candidate will be able to manage own time, prioritize to meet tight deadlines and know when to escalate.
