Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Global Risk Management and Front-Office stakeholders to understand current pain points, identifying point-of-failures at hand-off points between different software systems.

  • Assist in tracing data through systems and code, evaluate software controls to identify gaps, evaluate fit-for-purpose data and assist with root cause analysis on data quality issues to provide strategic solutions and build and automate appropriate controls.

  • Assess software solutions to confirm that the business goals are met and requirements are satisfied, including defining acceptance criteria and monitoring implementation.

  • Develop standardized templates, tools, design practices to promote high quality deliverables and consistent practices across GRM lines-of-business.

  • Improve techniques and technologies to automate metadata collection and control metrics.

  • Perform programming and software development by utilizing programming languages of Java, C++, and Python.

  • Use Oracle, Sybase, and Datalake to handle large volumes of data associated with one or more of the areas in trading, consumer banking, wealth management or transaction banking.

  • Utilize Python, C/C++, SQL, Oracle, and Datalake to perform data integration, quality controls, extraction, transformation and loading (ETL) process design and reviews.

  • Work with relational and non-relational databases associated with large financial datasets reference data, order data and trade data.

  • Utilize knowledge in business domains of Global Markets Transactions, Payments, and Consumer to devise appropriate controls, document metadata and develop reliable data products.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Master's degree or equivalent in Engineering (any), Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related; and

  • 3 years of experience in the job offered or a related IT occupation.

  • Must include 3 years of experience in each of the following:

  • Performing programming and software development by utilizing programming languages of Java, C++, and Python;

  • Using Oracle, Sybase, and Datalake to handle large volumes of data associated with one or more of the areas in trading, consumer banking, wealth management or transaction banking;

US - NJ - Jersey City - 525 Washington Blvd (NJ2525) Pay and benefits information Pay range $185,000.00 - $195,000.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set. Discretionary incentive eligible This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan.
