Job Description:
This job is responsible for underwriting and structuring complex credit transactions with minimal oversight. Key responsibilities include approving credit transactions, while considering credit approval authority limits and utilizing independent judgment and discretion to approve loans. Job expectations include exercising loan authority while ensuring adherence to credit policies, guidelines, and applicable regulatory requirements and serving as the point of contact for driving commercial and small business credit solutions for the client.
Bank of America Practice Solutions is a specialized lending unit that focuses on licensed medical professionals including Dentists, Physicians and Veterinarians. Applies credit skills and product knowledge to analyze and decide on a wide variety of business purpose loans for small business clients. Makes loan decisions, obtains Credit Policy and lending authority concurrence as appropriate and informs the originating sales associate of acceptance, decline or counteroffer decisions.
They deliver financial, industry, economic and other analysis used to recommend and approve loans. The Approval Officer III exercises their own single signature loan authority while also ensuring adherence to credit policies, guidelines, and applicable regulatory requirements. The AO will be called on to take on customer facing responsibilities in obtaining background and financial information, articulating the bank's position and negotiating more complex relationships. This role provides ongoing coaching and support to Sales partners and other Credit Products team members.
Qualifications:
General qualifications include: 5+ years of experience in financial analysis, structuring, underwriting and portfolio management, strong communication and analytical/technical skills, including financial accounting, modeling and loan structuring, and prior experience in a high- volume production environment.
AOIII's are asked to be able to independently handle and structure any type of loan request regardless of complexity. These requests typically include multiple personal guarantors, multiple spreadable entities, and can involve nested entities and split ownerships in their financial analysis. This role is also called on to assist with the mentoring of new Associates in the department to assist CPM's in improving their credit skills.

Required Skills:
Credit experience in Practice Solutions required
5-7 years of experience in financial analysis, structuring, underwriting and portfolio management
Ability to evaluate Global cash flow
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong organizational skills
Proficient with PC applications including Microsoft office (Excel and Word)
Ability to develop proficiency with multiple applications
