Process Overview
Wealth Bookkeeping technology functions that support Global Wealth Management for Merrill Lynch and Private Bank. These functions include the books and records, Service Request platforms, customer statements and correspondence, tax reporting and other core processing platforms. Service Request Technology team manages a suite of applications that are used by Financial Advisors and Client Associates at Branch offices, Home offices, Call Centers and Edge business to create and manage service request such as wire transfer, checks etc.
Job Description
A senior web application developer role to create and maintain web applications using client-side technologies and tech stacks. Successful candidates will be part of the team that works on Service Request Portal an application which are critical in nature for the use of wealth management advisors. Responsibility includes understanding applications and requirements, design and develop solutions, maintain, and document if required. Great opportunity to expand technical and domain expertise and to various aspects of a workflow based financial service request management system.
Responsibilities
• Develops, enhances & maintains software applications that supports wealth management clients.
• Participates in the design, development, and implementation of solutions, often using .Net technologies.
• Guiding and mentoring junior team members or contractors if required.
• Active engagement with internal team, CIO team and strategic partners.
• Ability to pursue a proactive approach to problem solving within a cohesive team environment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced agile environment.
• Good team player who can also work independently.

Experience Range
7 to 11 years
Foundational skills
•Demonstrated Knowledge and experience in building applications using client-side web application technology stack.
• Strong exposure and work experience in developing web applications using Reactjs, Redux, Formik, Chakra UI, Redux toolkit, NodeJS, Yup library.
- Strong foundational skills in JavaScript, Typescript, jQuery etc
• Strong foundational skills in asp.net, sql server and webservices.
• Solid understanding of architecture and design patterns, solution design, UX design skills.
• Good knowledge in building Rest APIs/Web Services in .net platform and understanding of JSON/XML.
• Good understanding of asynchronous messaging frameworks like MQ and exposure to windows services development.
• Exposure to Continuous Integration Pipeline (Jenkins, bitbucket/GitHub, Nodejs, Webpack, Nuget etc.)
Good knowledge about other scripting languages like AngularJS.
• Experience in agile based development and good team skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong experience in driving the design discussions.
• Good written/verbal communication skills.
Desired skills
• Exposure to wealth management domain.
• Experience in .Net web application development.
