Software Engineer:


This job is responsible for developing and delivering complex requirements to accomplish business goals. Key responsibilities of the job include ensuring that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional and compliance requirements, coding solutions, unit testing, and ensuring the solution can be integrated successfully into the overall application/system with clear, robust, and well-tested interfaces. Job expectations include an awareness of development and testing practices in the industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Codes solutions and unit test to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements.
  • Utilizes multiple architectural components (across data, application, business) in design and development of client requirements.
  • Performs Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI-CD) activities.
  • Contributes to story refinement and definition of requirements.
  • Participates in estimating work necessary to realize a story/requirement through the delivery lifecycle.
  • Contributes to existing test suites (integration, regression, performance), analyze test reports, identify any test issues/errors, and triage the underlying cause.
  • Performs spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas.

Splunk Engineer Job Description:

Software Engineer responsible for working on large, on-prem, distributed, HA deployments which are mission-critical. This includes being a part of 24/7 on-call rotations, including weekends, for escalation and the handling of escalation incidents from Operations. Will need to handle L3 troubleshooting and Splunk Engineering tasks. Will be working with vendors on open tickets as well as working in an Agile environment and with enterprise change control systems. Must be comfortable in a command-line environment. Must also have the ability to read and create regex expressions and to understand load-balancing, DNS.

Required Skills:

  • Splunk 5+ years.
  • L3 Troubleshooting (technical issues involving in-depth knowledge of system architecture, network configurations, and advanced troubleshooting.)​
  • Linux OS - General Shell experience.
  • Regex - Read and create expressions.
  • Splunk Enterprise Certified Admin.
  • Splunk Enterprise Certified Architect.
  • Support of Splunk in an enterprise environment, with >100 TB day ingestion.
  • 24/7 On-Call Rotations including weekends.
  • Experience with HEC, dbConnect, index and search-head clusters and deployment servers.

Desired Skills:

  • Cribl - Cribl Stream in a distributed on-premises environment.
  • Python
