Role Description:

Enterprise Credit delivers and manages the credit relationship for clients in accordance with Bank of America’s growth strategy, risk appetite and underwriting standards.

While we are an independent function, we work closely with product specialists, relationship managers and the risk function. Enterprise Credit is responsible for analysing and underwriting debt financing solutions and derivative strategies for Global Banking & Markets.

Hedge Fund Credit role within Global Markets Credit is responsible for managing the counterparty risk on a portfolio of EMEA-based hedge funds.

Responsibilities:

• Provide support to credit officers in proactively managing the European hedge fund (‘HF’) client portfolio, from a counterparty credit risk perspective.

• Role requires timely attention to daily risk management routines including but not limited to:

  • Credit limit and collateral management reporting/excesses
  • Hedge fund escalation threshold breaches (typically key market risk sensitivities)
  • Risk rating alerts/adverse news in respect of EMEA hedge fund clients
  • NAV trigger breaches and timeliness of monthly risk reporting
  • Trades without credit codes and/or Independent Amount (margin)
  • Agent limits and guardrail reporting
  • Ad-hoc client related issues
  • Monitor HF dashboards for items requiring credit officer attention.

• Proactively engaging with other business partners/stakeholders including but not limited to, Sales & Trading, LOB Risk, Collateral Management, 2nd line Risk, Agreements & Documentation.

• Maintain client pipeline for EMEA HFs, connecting with credit officers to ensure status comments remain current and all work items are captured in the tool.
