Job Description:

Successful candidate would be responsible for analyzing complex legal issues and implications on matters of significant impact to MBAM's Fixed Income municipal securities businesses including (i) providing advice on new or existing products or services (ii) coordinating the work of outside legal counsel on related projects and (iii) identifying and escalating legal risks. Individuals in this position typically have eight or more years of experience since admission to the Bar

Required

  • At least four years (law firm and/or in-house) of direct public finance / capital markets legal experience.
  • Experience with securities and corporate legal matters. .
  • Candidate must have a JD degree and be admitted to at least one state bar (active/good standing).

Desired

  • Knowledge of MSRB (Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board) G-Rules.
  • Knowledge of Volcker and the SECs Municipal Advisor Registration rules.
  • Knowledge of Reg M and related FINRA requirements.
  • Familiarity with broker regulation and other fixed income products.
