Lead the evolution of Accounting and Finance Services Real Estate at Baker Tilly.

Through our Managed Services platform, we deliver integrated Real Estate Accounting, Draw Management Services, and Financial Reporting solutions powered by modern technology, intelligent automation, and deep accounting expertise.
We're seeking a Director to help lead and expand our Real Estate Accounting and Finance Services capabilities within the Asset Management Managed Services practice. This role combines operational leadership, client advisory, business development, and team development for professionals who thrive at the intersection of finance, technology, and client service.
What You'll Do
As a Director, you will play a key leadership role in the growth, delivery, and continuous improvement of Baker Tilly's Accounting and Finance Services platform serving Real Estate clients. Working closely with Managing Directors and firm leadership, you'll oversee client delivery, develop high-performing teams, strengthen client relationships, and help expand our market presence.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead day-to-day operations for Real Estate Accounting and Finance Services engagements, ensuring high-quality service delivery, operational efficiency, and consistent client satisfaction.
- Support the growth of the Asset Management Managed Services practice through business development activities, proposal support, client relationship management, and collaboration with firm leadership.
- Execute business plans by monitoring operational performance, financial results, utilization, client satisfaction, and key performance metrics.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients and executive stakeholders while acting as the primary escalation point for complex service delivery matters.
- Oversee successful client onboarding, ongoing service delivery, and performance against service level agreements.
- Deliver excellence across the full spectrum of real estate accounting services, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Treasury Management, Financial Close & Reporting, Lease Administration, Fixed Asset Accounting, Budgeting & Forecasting, and Tax and Audit support.
- Provide technical leadership in real estate accounting, partnership accounting, fund structures, and ERP platforms.
- Drive continuous improvement by leveraging automation, technology, analytics, and AI-enabled solutions to improve quality and efficiency.
- Lead, coach, and develop managers, senior associates, and associates while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Collaborate across Advisory, Tax, Digital, and Industry teams to deliver integrated solutions that address evolving client needs.
- Partner closely with offshore teams to expand service delivery capabilities, improve scalability, and maintain quality standards.
- Participate in industry organizations, client events, and firm initiatives to strengthen Baker Tilly's presence in the Real Estate marketplace.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business required; CPA strongly preferred; MBA is a plus.
- 12+ years of progressive experience in real estate accounting, fund administration, or asset management operations.
- 7+ years of leadership experience managing teams, developing talent, and overseeing client delivery.
- Experience leading complex client engagements within a managed services, consulting, or professional services environment.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, partnership accounting, and real estate investment structures.
- Experience with Yardi Voyager, MRI, Entrada, or other real estate accounting platforms preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple client engagements while delivering accurate, timely, and high-quality financial reporting.
- Strong communication, presentation, project management, and relationship-building skills.
- Commercial mindset with the ability to identify growth opportunities and contribute to business development efforts.
- Willingness to travel periodically to support clients and firm initiatives.
