Job Description:

Reporting to the Chief Digital & Information Officer, the Managing Director – Technology Services leads the Operational IT, Enterprise Architecture, and Planning & Delivery (PMO) functions. This senior leadership role is responsible for driving operational excellence, architectural integrity, and effective delivery of technology initiatives across the organization.

The role ensures alignment with the broader Technology, Digital and Innovation Office (TDIO) priorities, and fosters a culture of continuous improvement and service excellence. The Managing Director will champion IT Service Management (ITSM) practices, leveraging ITIL frameworks to optimize service delivery and process management, and will drive the adoption of a product-centric operating model to enhance customer focus and business value.

The role is also accountable for building a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performance culture, developing global sourcing strategies, and ensuring robust compliance and controls appropriate for a large-scale Enterprise organization.

Responsibilities

Operational IT Leadership

  • Oversee all operational technology functions, including infrastructure, networking, security operations (SecOps), DevOps, CloudOps, and end-user tools & support services.
  • Champion IT Service Management (ITSM) practices, ensuring the implementation and continual improvement of ITIL-based processes for incident, problem, change, and service request management.
  • Ensure stability, reliability, and efficiency of enterprise IT services and solution delivery.
  • Drive operational excellence through process management, automation, and adoption of best practices.
  • Lead and support the integration of India Operations infrastructure and support services as part of the firm’s Global Workforce strategy.
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies, including outsourcing of service/help desk functions, vendor management, and global delivery models to optimize cost, quality, and scalability.

Enterprise Architecture

  • Lead the development, implementation, and governance of enterprise architecture standards and frameworks, including domain and solution architecture.
  • Ensure technology solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with business needs.
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to drive architectural decisions and integration.
  • Champion adherence to security protocols, compliance frameworks, and architectural best practices.
  • Oversee the work of Senior Directors, Directors, and Managers within Enterprise Architecture.

Planning & Delivery (PMO)

  • Oversee the planning and delivery function, including strategy & roadmap, budgeting, project portfolio management, and agility initiatives.
  • Develop and manage project portfolios, resource allocation, and delivery timelines.
  • Establish and monitor performance metrics, driving continuous improvement in project delivery.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and results-driven execution.
  • Lead teams responsible for project management and business operations, ensuring effective coordination across service lines and business tech functions.

Product-Centric Operating Model

  • Drive the transition to a product-centric operating model, organizing technology teams around products and services to enhance customer focus and business outcomes.
  • Oversee the full lifecycle management of technology products, from ideation through delivery and retirement.
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration and agile practices to accelerate innovation and responsiveness.
  • Champion a customer-centric approach to technology operations, ensuring products and services are designed and delivered with end-user needs in mind.

Culture Building & Talent Development

  • Build, lead, and inspire high-performing teams across operational IT, enterprise architecture, and PMO.
  • Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performance culture that supports innovation, learning, and growth.
  • Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion across all teams and locations.
  • Provide mentorship, coaching, and career development opportunities to team members.
  • Establish clear performance metrics and goals to evaluate team performance.
  • Manage a multi-layered team structure, including Senior Directors, Directors, Managers, and Associates.

Sourcing Strategies & India Operations

  • Develop and execute global sourcing strategies, including outsourcing and vendor partnerships, to optimize service/help desk operations and technology delivery.
  • Oversee and integrate India Operations, ensuring alignment with global standards, processes, and business objectives.
  • Leverage India-based teams for infrastructure, solution architecture, data science, full stack development, and support services.

Financial Management

  • Develop and manage budgets for operational IT, architecture, and delivery initiatives.
  • Optimize resource allocation and investment decisions to maximize value and efficiency.
  • Monitor and report on key financial metrics and performance indicators.

Technology Innovation & Adoption

  • Proactively evaluate and adopt emerging technologies and industry best practices to enhance operational efficiency and architectural integrity.
  • Lead the adoption of agile methodologies and modern software development approaches.
  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation in technology operations.

Compliance, Controls & Internal Audit

  • Ensure robust compliance with regulatory requirements, including SOX and other public company obligations.
  • Develop and maintain effective internal controls, risk management practices, and audit readiness across all technology operations.
  • Partner with internal audit, risk, and legal teams to support enterprise-wide compliance, reporting, and remediation activities.
  • Promote a culture of transparency, accountability, and ethical conduct in all technology operations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (MBA, MS, or equivalent preferred) in a relevant field (Business, Computer Science, Engineering, etc.).
  • 10+ years of experience in senior operational IT leadership, enterprise architecture, and technology project delivery.
  • Proven track record in managing complex technology organizations and large-scale transformation initiatives.
  • Experience with IT Service Management (ITSM) and ITIL frameworks.
  • Experience with centralized and decentralized operating models, including a blend of internal and external resources.
  • Experience developing and executing sourcing strategies, including outsourcing and global delivery models.
  • Experience overseeing India-based technology operations and integrating global teams.
  • Strong understanding of product-centric operating models, technology service organization business models, operating structures, and market dynamics.
  • Demonstrated success in leading and motivating cross-functional teams in an agile environment.
  • Experience supporting compliance, controls, and internal audit requirements for a publicly traded company.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans and results.

The compensation range for this role is $203,630 to $386,050. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
