Job Description:
The Associate, Procurement is responsible for supporting the Procurement team in executing purchasing activities that align with company policies and financial objectives. This role will focus on creating and managing purchase orders, handling procurement intake requests, and performing tactical negotiations for low-risk purchases. They will also ensure compliance with established sourcing standards and contribute to efficient procurement operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and process Purchase Orders (POs) in Workday in accordance with company policies.
- Perform intake triage for procurement requests, ensuring accurate categorization and routing.
- Manage annual POs and renewal processes to maintain continuity of goods and services.
- Conduct tactical negotiations for low-risk procurement requests to achieve cost efficiency.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records for all procurement activities.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve issues related to purchasing and order fulfillment.
- Assist with assigning and managing multiple payment methods in connection with purchase requests.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and financial controls.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required.
- 1–3 years of experience in purchasing or procurement operations.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Experience with Workday Procurement or similar ERP systems, preferred.
- Familiarity with procurement best practices and compliance standards, preferred.
