Job Description:
We are seeking a passionate and strategic professional to lead and evolve our internal Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives. This role will be instrumental in shaping our firm’s sustainability journey, ensuring alignment with regulatory expectations, driving cross-collaboration across multiple departments to achieve common objectives, and embedding ESG principles into our culture and operations.
What you will do
- Program leadership: Define and execute the firm’s internal ESG strategy, including goal setting, project implementation, and performance tracking.
- Regulatory compliance: Lead efforts to comply with ESG-related reporting frameworks (e.g., TCFD, CDP, GHG Protocol, EcoVadis), including data collection, stakeholder coordination, and platform management.
- Steering committee engagement: Serve as a key leader of the internal ESG Steering Committee, facilitating cross-functional collaboration and decision-making with senior leadership.
- Education and awareness: Drive internal ESG education and engagement initiatives to build awareness and foster a culture of sustainability.
- Project management: Manage multiple ESG-related projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with firm priorities.
- Continuous improvement: Monitor ESG trends and best practices to inform program evolution and maintain a forward-looking approach.
Qualifications
Successful candidates will have:
- Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in relevant field
- Minimum of 4 years of related experience; previous related industry and consulting experience highly preferred
- Ability to see the "big picture" as well as the details, display appropriate ethical knowledge, and exhibit a sense of initiative, urgency and commitment to quality and the timely completion of projects
- Ability to manage multiple projects/initiatives simultaneously, with a willingness to support different workstreams as needed
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a track record of cross-functional influence
- Self-starter with a passion for sustainability and a commitment to continuous learning
- Demonstrated management, analytical, organization, interpersonal, project management, communication, and highly developed Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) skills
- Experience with one or more aspects related to ESG/corporate social responsibility in a corporate setting
- (Optional) Certifications in ESG reporting/corporate sustainability standards (e.g. GRI, SASB, etc.) and related platforms
- Ability to travel as needed
The compensation range for this role is $107,950 to $204,670. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location
