What you will do:

  • Be a trusted member of the engagement team providing ESG sustainability advisory and consulting services to clients, positively impacting their business operations through:
    • Providing sustainability reporting assistance including materiality assessments, reporting strategy, data collection and report drafting
    • Proactively engaging with clients to provide updates on ESG reporting regulations and related requirements, and providing assistance in regulatory compliance including CSRD, CA Climate Act, ISSB etc.
    • Conducting assessments of ESG reporting against regulatory frameworks, voluntary frameworks and/or rater requirements i.e. CDP or EcoVadis and making recommendations for improvement
    • Supporting clients through the submission of rater and ranker questionnaires and subsequent appeals for credit, where necessary
    • Supporting clients with assurance readiness for ESG reporting through understanding of assurance guidance including ISAE 3000, ISSA 5000 and AICPA standards and pragmatic advice on the development of processes

and internal controls supporting sustainability reporting.

  • Conducting climate risk assessments including scenario analysis and related TCFD reporting
  • Leading and managing all fieldwork to ensure quality service and timely delivery of results
  • Playing an active role in providing valuable knowledge of ESG trends, frameworks and provide ESG reporting guidance and recommendations based upon various testing performed and information gathered
  • Assist with managing client engagement staffing, billings/collections, and ensure client profitability targets are met
  • Utilize your entrepreneurial skills to network and build strong relationships internally and externally with clients and the community
  • Invest in your professional development individually and through participation in firm wide learning and development programs
  • Support the growth and development of team members through the Baker Tilly Care and Teach philosophy, helping associates meet their professional goals

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a sustainability or environmental management required, Masters or advanced degree desired
  • Solid understanding of risk management and well-controlled reporting processes
  • GRI, CC-P or SCR certifications preferred
  • 5+ years experience providing ESG advisory services in a professional services firm desired
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience, mentoring and counseling associates
  • Strong interpersonal skills, proven ability to build effective working relationships and partner with key stakeholders at all levels of an organization.
  • Demonstrated management, analytical, organization, interpersonal, project management, communication skills
  • Ability to lead and supervise others, provide exceptional client service, demonstrate commitment to continuous learning in order to stay current regarding applicable strategies, see the "big picture" as well as the details, display appropriate ethical knowledge and commitment, and exhibit a sense of urgency and commitment to quality and the timely completion of projects
  • Highly developed software and Microsoft Suite skills
  • U.S Citizenship required

The compensation range for this role is $77,130 to $167,130. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
