Job Description:

Responsibilities:

This position provides general ledger accounting duties and technical assistance to the Internal Financial Reporting team under direct supervision.

  • Coordinate and perform accounting duties.

    • Prepare general ledger entries.

    • Perform reconciliations of balance sheet accounts. Research and resolve discrepancies

    • Prepare and review financial statements, including related schedules.

    • Perform financial analysis.

  • Provide customer service support to internal and external customers/clients.

    • Provide reports and related information to support business unit objectives and reports.

    • Respond to inquiries by providing guidance, support, and analysis, as requested.

  • Provide administrative and office support functions.

    • Perform word processing, excel data entry, maintain files and generate reports.

    • Compose correspondence.

    • File, scan, and copy documents.

  • Participate as an effective Finance team member

    • Demonstrate excellent team skills, positive attitude and high ethical standards.

    • Identify opportunities for improvement and participate in internal projects and operations.

    • Communicate concerns and ideas in a courteous and respectful manner.

  • Obtain and expand knowledge base in area of expertise.

    • Develop skills and keep knowledge current.

    • Integrate new knowledge and skills into daily work and share with colleagues as appropriate.

  • Other duties as assigned.

    • Assist with advancing department projects and initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in accounting or related field. Experience in lieu of a degree would be considered.

  • Demonstrated problem solving, organizational, interpersonal, project management, and communication skills.

  • Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required.

  • Ability to learn and utilize specialized software.

  • Ability to provide exceptional client service, demonstrate commitment to continuous learning, display appropriate ethical knowledge & commitment and exhibit a sense of urgency and commitment to quality and the timely completion of duties.

  • Keen sense of accuracy and attention to detail, as well as ability to follow directions/procedures required.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, time sensitive environment with frequent interruptions.

  • Demonstrate excellent team skills, positive attitude, and high ethical standards, while maintaining confidentiality.
