Job Overview

Overall Purpose: Responsible for organic social storytelling, editorial planning and execution across core AT&T Business brand social channels. The role will manage and create social content that aligns with our business objectives and brand purpose: connecting people to greater possibility. As a Social Media Manager for our company, you’ll be responsible for creative storytelling, editorial calendar oversite, publishing, agency oversite, writing and editing, internal stakeholdering and reporting. Your role will help build brand awareness, brand love and drive engagement as part of our upper funnel strategy.

You will work closely with a Director and Senior Manager of social media and be part of a large, world-class social team within the corporate communications organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and publish engaging social content to educate and inspire our audiences while staying within approved brand standards.
  • Manage organic social editorial calendar, identifying compelling stories to tell and determining best content to bring forward amongst competing priorities within a matrixed organization.
  • Research current industry and company benchmarks, trends, and KPIs to aid in creating best-in-class social media campaigns and programs.
  • Use social tools to analyze and provide insights on the business impact of the social programs you manage, typically via dashboards or PowerPoint decks.
  • Stay up-to-date with current technologies and trends in social media, design tools, and applications in order to execute programs within emerging formats. (e.g. virtual live events, social-led events on new digital, audio and video platforms, influencers)
  • Occasionally travel onsite to cover events and live activations creating “in the moment” content for our social channels.
  • Manage creative agency resources through the full social creative development cycle – from strategic brief, creative evaluation, partner approvals, to execution.

You will be successful in this role if:

  • You have curiosity to seek understanding of more complex ideas or technologies, and then find ways to simplify them, creatively
  • You have a background in or knack for technical writing and editing
  • You understand B2B audiences and strategies
  • You’re a creative storyteller with a passion for social
  • You’re highly organized and thrive within a fast-paced environment

Qualifications:

  • Able to work from our offices in downtown Dallas, Texas
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
  • 2-5 years of experience (agency or corporate) in a related field – organic social, paid social, advertising, B2B marketing, technology marketing
  • While this is not a supervisory role, you should be comfortable and have experience managing projects independently and serving as the subject matter expert
  • As a communications professional, having strong written skills will be essential in your daily work

This position is located in Dallas, TX.

Relocation assistance is not available.

Our Social Media Managers earn between $58,400 - $73,000. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
