Marketing Measurement and Optimization (MMO)

The mission of the MMO team is to develop and implement a systematic approach to quantify the holistic drivers of demand to understand the opportunity costs of investment decisions. We measure the impact media, offers, and all other drivers has on sales, profitability, brand equity, and consumer behavior.
About the Role
The Principal Marketing Performance Analytics role is responsible for supporting MMO team in delivering on strategic initiatives, driving operational efficiency across organization and ensuring effective executive presentations and impact.
This individual independently leads strategic initiatives to develop, maintain, refine, and deploy a suite of statistical analysis, including market mix models (MMM), designing marketing experiments, and associated data. Insights from analytics will drive strategies and tactics to increase sales, lower churn, develop the brand and optimize AT&T’s deployment of advertising messages, mass media, social media, direct/digital marketing, sponsorship, and offers.
This individual serves as the main program manager, insights analyst, data expert and modeling technical advisor for assigned MMM analytics, custom marketing performance advanced models, and “Market Moving” test and learn.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and execute Marketing performance measurements:
- Work closely with internal marketing analytics subject matter experts to design and deliver new performance analytics capabilities
- Integrate measurement programs using MMM, custom models, and marketing experiments both technically and in way we communicate learning to stakeholders
- For assigned project will manage all aspects of marketing modeling and experiment projects, from initial stakeholder alignment, business case development, data collection, model development and validation, insights extraction, visualization, presentations to stakeholders, and forward-looking media planning.
- Marketing performance intelligence program management and impact
- Manage executive communication to establish consistent rhythm of communication and consistency in delivering timely responses to requests
- Lead the creation of executive communication deliverables in PowerPoint, dashboard reporting, emails, etc. working across MGO and its partners
- Establish strong program management discipline across entire team
- Centralize prioritization and alignment of measurement requests from internal partners
- Lead program management meetings with key external measurement partners to monitor progress towards milestones/deliverables and managing through any risks/issues
- Develop marketing insights for AT&T’s Consumer and Business organizations:
- Influence business decisions through persuasive presentation of key insights and solutions to marketing executives
- Generate crisp insights on AT&T media effectiveness and develop actionable recommendations for cross-functional partners and senior executives
- Support team members to drive broader program adoption and integration of all performance analytics
Requirements/Qualifications:
This is a highly visible role that presents insights to the highest levels within the organization.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and will be comfortable working autonomously in a fast-paced, multitasking environment. The candidate should be a persuasive team player who can negotiate with and influence a wide range of business constituencies. A successful candidate will have strong data and information management skills, analytical know-how, and be able to independently identify and solve problems.
In terms of technical knowledge, the ideal candidate will have:
- Experience with statistical regression and attribution modeling such as MMM, MTA
- Experience designing and measuring multifactor experiments using statistical analysis for consumer media and marketing efforts
- Experience with data processing and visualization tools such as SQL, Palantir, Python, Tableau, PowerBI, Snowflake would be highly helpful
- Passion for embedding storytelling in all encounters in both words and visualizations

Our Principal Marketing Performance Analytics earn between $143,800 - $215,800 USD Annual. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
