Responsible for technical leadership and to develop Reinvestment Strategy for the long-term strategic $2B FirstNet Reinvestment Program. Provide overall direction and guidance across multiple Network teams, the AT&T FirstNet PMO team, and the FirstNet Authority governmental organization. Conducts assessments and recommends course of action to optimize the network and support FirstNet.

5. Automation & Analytics – Dashboards, reporting, analysis
6. Network hardening reporting
7. Technical support for Corporate Communications

Typically requires 5+ years of network experience.
Skills Important to this Role:
Upon receipt of FirstNet-provided Areas of Interest (AOI), conduct a geographical network assessment of the likely number of new sites and locations of search ring areas. Exercise judgement and leverage RAN experience to (a) determine an initial array of NSBs (and/or carrier adds) to best enhance the area, (b) consider AT&T network/business drivers, and (c) support FirstNet's intent to improve coverage.
Additional Skills:
1. Experience providing expert testimony (zoning, governmental oversight boards, etc.)
2. Demonstrated ability to convey highly technical information and concepts to non-engineers.
3. Ideal candidate should have worked in both RAN Design and Optimization.
4. Familiarity with AT&T’s inference mitigation programs (both internal and external sources) and general knowledge of the company’s spectrum portfolio.
5. Candidates should have well developed personal contacts both within HQ RAN Engineering and Market Level teams.
6. LTE & 5G RAN Certifications added plus
1. Demonstrated Network experience.
2. Strong oral and written communication.
3. Coverage analysis capabilities.
4. Wireless network experience and knowledge.
5. Ability to work independently and across multiple priorities.
Optimal candidate must have strong GIS/mapping skills (MapInfo/ArcGIS/QGIS) experience.
Our Principal Technology Strategy, earns between $143,800.00-$215,800.00 USD Annual, not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
