Job Description:
The Sr Specialist Inventive Scientist - Application Development role is an entry level position specializing in identifying network opportunities to improve deployment speed and reliability, while absorbing the complexity of Cloud RAN infrastructure using GenAI, AI/ML, and Open RAN expertise. Applies advanced engineering and scientific knowledge to architecture, design and development work in a Research and Development environment for high-value technology and solutions tied to the strategic direction of the company.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and optimize automation solutions, incorporating knowledge of RAN, cloud-native technologies, GenAI, AI/ML, and Open RAN expertise.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop automation systems, leveraging software development and information and data modeling expertise.
Leverage knowledge of RAN protocols, operational expertise, and AI/ML techniques to drive performance improvements and cost reductions in element management, Cloud RAN and Open RAN environments.
Responsibilities include the physical and software realms; these include managing server processes, cloud containers, writing code and scripts to automate various aspects of the Cloud RAN domain, as well as configuring network elements, applications, and systems for optimal performance in a cloud environment
Conduct design and development work in the areas of new products/technologies, systems/platform architecture, hardware/software development engineering, technical security.
Work primarily involves new and emerging technologies and technical architectures on projects with a status between inception and implementation/software maturity.
May be responsible for architecture design or assessment, standards, system development, analysis and testing of infrastructure and services that use network and systems technologies.
Stay current on industry trends and emerging technologies related to Cloud RAN, Open RAN, GenAI, AI/ML, and related fields.
Required Education:
Bachelor’s degree or higher degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Informational Technology, Data Communications from an accredited university.
Exceptions may be considered with equivalent experience in RAN, Cloud, or Networking technologies.
Required Experience:
1-5 years of experience in design and development of programming or automation solutions including identifying Cloud and Software requirements, and delivery of innovative solutions.
Our Sr Specialist Inventive Scientist earn between $122,000 – $183,000 USD, annually. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
