To be successful in a high-paced Community Management position, it is required that you are effective and efficient in social skills. The conversations you encounter require quick “on your feet” action. It is important to know when to respond, listen, understand, and empathize to ensure that any needs are fulfilled through a sense of community.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Approach reactive social media with foresight and demonstrate an ability to plan for the unexpected.

    • Represent the brand and engage with related social content across all social platforms: Instagram, X, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, and YouTube. You anticipate the shifts of ever-evolving social platforms and their communities.

  • Develop reactive strategies that build meaningful relationships with social communities and determine how engagement can foster brand love and build trust.

    • Reactive content may be extensions or aligned to pivotal campaign launches, moments that tap into community interests, evergreen moments centered in culture which increase brand relevance, or opportunities to surprise & delight.

  • Identify trending conversations and strategize how responses to these moments tie into AT&T services and products. Utilize social listening and determine positive engagement opportunities that will personify the brand and resonate with our target audiences.

  • Proactively detect and assess potential risk, as well as support crisis situations that impact the brand’s reputation. Work with cross-functional stakeholders on topics that may affect online communities.

  • Collaborate with an agency of ‘always-on’ Community Managers and provide guidance established in process.

  • Use data-driven insights to identify trends and inform future strategies. Track, analyze and report on key metrics such as sentiment, response rate, and engagement.

YOU’LL KNOW IT’S THE RIGHT FIT IF YOU

  • Prioritize and reprioritize masterfully and with limited direction, including work for self and for team with keen anticipation of business needs.

  • Find BrightSpots and make more of them! Lead with an optimistic point of view and be resilient.

  • You have an affinity for social media with proven experience as a Social Media Manager for a Brand or Agency-side with a background in Community Management or Social Listening.

  • Understand how to safely take risks that drive meaningful results impact.

  • Have a knack for writing witty or savvy copy that aligns with trending topics, as well as reputational copy that is aligned with PR statements.

  • Experience in Sprinklr (or other enterprise social media platforms) is a plus.

  • Possess a macro-level approach to supporting business needs and understand the intersection of social with PR, marketing, legal, etc.

  • Thrive in ambiguity and the charting of new courses; no one day is the same is another. (This is social media after all!)

  • Appreciate process and have a strong organizational and multi-tasking skills, with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt rapidly to aggressive deadlines.

Our Lead Social Media Managers earn between $105,600 - $158,400 of TSR. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
