Job Description:

CDO focuses on the full data and AI lifecycle through Enterprise Data Technologies, Self-Service Tools and Professional Services. Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Uses Big Data programming languages and technology, writes code, completes programming and documentation, and performs testing and debugging of applications.

  • Analyzes, designs, programs, debugs and modifies software enhancements and/or new products used in distributed, large scale analytics and visualization solutions.

  • Interacts with data scientists and industry experts to understand how data needs to be converted, loaded and presented.

  • Works in a highly agile environment.

  • Interact with the Product Team to gather requirements, particularly for 5G technology-based features.

  • Conduct initial research to understand the scope of features and finalize timelines.

  • Leverage expertise in 5G Technology and 3GPP standards to conduct detailed research. Develop High-Level Design (HLD) for Device Software, including metrics design and Package Collection Model.

  • Provide HLD to the Mobile Engineering Team for review and reference for implementation.

  • Assist the Product Qualifications team in drafting various control test case scenarios. Interact with external wireless testing vendors and help triage any issues during device software testing.

  • Maintain the quality of software post-deployment in the production environment.

  • Develop High-Level Design for KPI definitions and impact analysis. Review designs with the Analytics team and assist in issue triaging during software development.

  • Collaborate with the Data Analytics team to prepare Summary Reports and Dashboards.

  • Collaborate with Product, Project Management, Mobile Engineering, Product Qualifications, Analytics, and Production engineering teams to deliver BU feature

Qualifications:

  • Preferred Bachelors of Science in Computer Science, Math or Scientific Computing preferred.

  • Requires 8-10 years related experience.

  • 5 years of experience in 5G Technology and Embedded Software required

  • 5 Years of experience in 3GPP standards

  • Strong understanding and ability to interpret 3GPP standard

  • Familiarity with Qualcomm chipset log codes.

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, and Java.

  • Desirable: Knowledge in Big Data and Data Analytics.

  • Good knowledge and working knowledge in Azure, Databricks, or other cloud-based software development practices.

  • Preferably have telecommunications knowledge or background.

  • Must understand major network elements and industry publications of the core network and radio access network.

  • Requires Daily Office Presence (3-5 days a week) at the listed location. No relocation assistance is provided.

Our Principal Big Data Software Engineering, earns between $158,200.00-$237,400.00 USD Annual, Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
