Role Purpose: The Integration Engineer will define enterprise common data object models and then design and develop data integration components using MuleSoft’s platform as a service cloud environment to deliver data integrations that are reliable, scalable, and reusable. Use of an agile framework and DevOps methodologies will be leveraged to fulfill development activities. This role within Enterprise Integration team will provide the needed technical services for Rockwell Automation capability teams that need to deliver on Application Programming Integration (API) initiatives for the organization.
The Integration Engineer is a multi-skilled engineer who will architect, design, build, and deploy API components. Following agile principles this role will be responsible for estimating work, accepting stories into delivery increments, and completing tasks to deliver the work. Proficiency is needed in data modeling, API integration concepts, data analytics, data quality, user interface design, support operations, and process improvement methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:
• Specialize in merging data from different sources, ensuring consistency and making the data accessible for users and systems through common data model definition and layer.
• Designs, codes, tests, and documents new MuleSoft API platform components, including supporting applications and interfaces
• Supports cross-functional development activity in conjunction with other integration technology resources
• Develops and tests infrastructure components in Cloud and Edge-level environments
• Proactively monitors industry trends and identifies opportunities to implement new technologies
• Manages the DevOps pipeline deployment model
• Enables automated testing procedures
• Implements software in all environments
• Leverages containerization models and works with other engineers and architects to keep the architecture current
• Assists in the support and enhancement of applications
• Writes high-quality code compliant with regulations
• Collaborates with business systems data owners, product owners, and analysts to define requirements
Skills, Knowledge, Experience and Education
• Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, software engineering, management information systems, or related field
• Experience with defining enterprise common data models for integration reuse
• Experience with architecture and domain driven design of API integration components
• Experience with the MuleSoft API platform, MuleSoft certification preferred
• Experience with integration activity with Salesforce applications
• Experience with Master Data Management (MDM) principles
• Experience with definition and automation of test cases
• Experience with build and deployment automation using CI/CD (Azure DevOps)
• Experience with other data movement technologies (EDI, ETL)
• Experience in systems development lifecycle
• Experience in Analytical concepts and implementations
• Experience with Agile development methodologies and system/process documentation
• Experience with server-side architectures and containerization
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
• Familiarity with business concepts and data story telling
